They have to pay you back a full refund surely ... with me they cancelled the flight ... I don’t know whether that is different if you cancel your flight ?

No, my flights were cancelled (was due to fly in early April). There is no explanation as to why it's only a partial refund. Has anyone else managed to get anything out of Ryanair - partial or otherwise? I can't work out if this is right, or just another trick by Ryanair to get out of giving a full refund.

Hi, thanks for the response - but it doesn't explain why its a partial refund? I get they are processing in monthly batches to get through the backlog - makes sense. I just can't understand why I only got part of my money back instead of a full refund?

I've just received a partial refund for my flights, but no explanation as to why it is a partial refund. Ryanair website & live chat is non-responsive. Can anyone explain why its only a partial refund? Is this expected, or should I not have received a full refund?
What are the amounts involved, i.e. have they only refunded in one direction rather than both, or omitted extras, or levied an admin fee, etc?

Actually, I think I've worked it out. I'd had to amend the flights after the initial booking - which is why the amounts don't match up. I never received a confirmation email of the new amount and the revised booking and only have the email confirmation from the original. When the refund came through, I checked against what I thought was the most recent booking confirmation, but its actually the original. I guess I'm so distrusting of Ryanair I've jumped to the wrong conclusion. I still don't know if I've got a 100% refund or not, because I've no record of the revised booking costs. As I had to pay a fee to change the flights (which I won't get back, understandably); I can't even match up the numbers on my statement.
I suspect it's me who's wrong in this instance and not Ryanair - I guess though, thats what behaving badly does in the first instance: weakens a customers view of you!
Thanks to everyone who responded. If nothing else, Ryanair are definitely processing refunds - for those of you who've not received theirs yet!

I think I'll reach out over twitter then. Re-looking (again) at the numbers, it looks like they've refunded the original flight cost, not the amended one. Even ignoring the admin charge for changing the flight, I think I'm still about £60 out of pocket. They had the same reservation numbers as the original bookings - so I think they've just looked at the initial booking and refunded that value.

It’s not fair for us to be out of pocket as the insurance companies don’t want to know. I the interest I’ve paid for 6 people’s flights on my credit card have cost us double our own original flight cost... good luck ... they have set all comments on Twitter to not register but I went into the email via there instead. I won’t be rushing to book with them again. My friends have all received their refunds back from easyJet and Jet2 etc
