Hello again. I managed to get some answer using the live chat: "As I see in your booking, your refund request has been correctly notified in our system. It could be a website error then.".veryintrigued said:
Am guessing, like me:
You're now assuming one of your previous attempts was successful in applying for this refund?
But you've received no confirmation (email / screen message etc) that this refund request was successfully submitted?
Unfortunately, I tried to ask when I should receive an email, but then got "
I am afraid, our chat has been idle for more than 5 minutes"0 -
Thanks for getting back to me.gowgowuk said:
PS: it just reverted now to "We are sorry but we are unable to process your application at this time. Please try again later" again!gowgowuk said:
I'm afraid I am not that optimistic. Pretty sure none of my application attempts went through. Well, I've never seen the acknowledgement webpage that other people report here. And no, I haven't received any email either.veryintrigued said:

Is this error message (Apologies an error has occurred, click here to view contact details for Ryanair) when you followed the link from the Cancellation email?
I.e. have you tried the route of getting a refund from account as well?0 -
I never got a cancellation email! So, this was via the Ryanair account/bookings pageveryintrigued said:

A previous application has already been submitted for this booking
When using my online account.
And:
Apologies an error has occurred
When using the link they sent on the cancellation email.0 -
I raised a chargeback req with Lloyds via the APP. They said would be processed 10-14 days, 26 days later, nothing.
So back on the online chat again todayDebt Free since 2020 thanks to MSEf.0 -
I'm guessing that nobody has been successful in getting a refund directly from Ryanair to date, just those that have been successful with bank chargebacks, is that correct? This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Hi
Apologies if this has been raised before.
Ryanair have cancelled my flight next month and I am trying to rebook for 2021.
Whilst there is no flight change admin fee, it seems that I have to pay the difference in price between the new flight and the original one (quite substantial difference 😫).
Is this permitted legally?
Any assistance greatly appreciated.0 -
Yes, they can legally increase next years price, you can legally ask for a cash refund.Gorroberts said:Hi

Any assistance greatly appreciated.Your booking falls within one of our peak periods, so as an exclusive offer, we’re giving you the opportunity to now transfer your flight to anywhere across Europe, at any time, for free. This means that with maximum peace of mind you can transfer onto any of our school holiday, public holiday or peak flights without having to pay any fare difference.
But they're are under no obligation to do this. This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!
