For anyone still hoping to get hold of Ryanair chat with a live rep, out of interest I left my PC logged on in the queue, checked it every hour or so- even sent a new 'hello is anyone there' message on my part of the chat system. I logged in and got my place in the queue at 8am, it is now 3.24pm and I have not reached the head of the queue to talk to anyone. Out of interest I'll stay in the queue , obviously if anyone does answer the other end I will not be there to respond- but at least I'll know I did eventually get to the head of the queue.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Had the same as everyone else. Explicitly requested a cash refund for 2 flights over a month ago. Had a few 'we're on it but things are going slowly' emails which I completely don't mind given the current situation. Had 2 emails yesterday giving me vouchers with no obvious way of re-requesting a cash refund.
Submitted 2 claims on my credit card today which have been accepted and will be refunded this month. This will likely cost RyanAir more in admin charges dealing with section 75 claims.0 -
I booked return flights from Manchester to Tenerife which were cancelled because of coronavirus. After going through all the Ryanair hoops and like everybody else being told that I had filled in the wrong details etc etc (which I hadn't) I was given a refund code. I said I DID NOT want a voucher for a future flight - I just wanted the money repaid to my credit card. After about 10 unsuccessful attempts to get any response from Ryanair I have ended up writing to their Customer Care Team (if one exists in their company) in Swords Dublin telling them that I do NOT want a flight voucher. I JUST WANT MY MONEY REPAID TO MY CREDIT CARD. Ryanair must be a prime example of the worst customer care oriented company in the world. They really are dreadful. I know they must be busy but if I owed them money I, m absolutely certain they would be quicker off the mark !

Hi, sorry if this has already been asked. My Ryanair flights for earlier this month were cancelled. I've now received an email saying I have a credit voucher valid for a year. If I want a refund instead I have to contact them but they'll put my request into a queue and it won't be refunded until the current crisis is over. Am I within my rights to ask for it to be refunded now? Could be months before I receive it otherwise. Any help gratefully received. Thanks0

soolin said:It's probably not helpful, but on other forums people are suggesting that complaints are put in about Ryanair here : Report a business behaving unfairly during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

Frankly it is probably not worth the bother, but just in case anyone is cross enough !1
