Yep, thats a great total taxi, you'll be debt free in no time. Still waiting on payday, having a bit of a miserable day as well, i'm full of cold and feel too ill to even sit in front of my computer and earn any money. No work for me today, been catching up on the sleep i missed out on last night. Have managed to pick up a few mystery shopping jobs for this weekend though so will help my total along nicely.

I need to take my car for its MOT in Feb so am hoping it wont be too much and any extras can be banked ready to pay off the credit cards when they reach the end of their 0% deal.

As for some peoples' totals looking bad, we've got 11 months for them to improve with some months more than others, get through this month and it can only get easier.

Due to a very welcome refund from the Inland Rev, which came thro much sooner than expected, I have managed to pay an extra £500 off my mortgage today. Phew.

(I'm not posting on here much, am spending most of my life on the '£4K a year' thread (see my siggie) and that is taking up a lot of time)

Took me a year to get my tax sorted out and numerous trips to the tax office to go through the same thing. I was on emergency tax for a year because the council i was working for at the time kept ignoring the people at the tax office! Still it was nice when i got a £1000 refund, felt like extra money, unfortunately it soon got faffed away.:o

Morning everyone Hope everyone is ok. I'm working today at a gym in sheffield for the day and am making the most of being allowed to sit in front of a computer all day. Unfortunatley its on dial up so everything is soooooo slow.I'm sooo jealous of everyone's progress. Your all doing so well, the challenge really was a brilliant idea. Doing this work voluntarily in the hope that it may lead on to some good paid work, which of course in turn will lead to bigger debt payments. Keep up the good work everyone. Catch up later xxxLaura

  • Hi Guys, ok its confession time. Since my lightbulb moment last summer we have been ticking along nicely but lots of our 0% offers have come to an end recently so we have had to have a rejuggle which has resulted in our debt increasing with balance transfer fees. Then there is the small matter of the student loan that I had totally forgotton about and since this is confession time the other small matter of the tax bill hubby incurred when he was made redundant and had to go self employed for a couple of months. - Now you can see why we are in such a mess...! But I promise that is everything now. With minimum repayments we will repay £4500 this year, I would be very pleased to double this using DH bonuses and my sats marking fee. But thinking positively we will aim for the full £20000. Off to update my sig with the new scary figure!!
