Hi folks, not been on here for an age. I've managed to pay £1070 so far, not as much as I'd like to have made, but still it's chipping away at it. I've comitted myself to stay at sea for another week when I should be going home, this should give me another £1200 to throw at my debt..I cant wait to get sub £10K, I think it will lift a weight of my shoulders. Going to be hitting ebay when I get home and listing anything I can. 14 days offshore done..in the freezing weather...9 to goDebt @ LBM April 2005 £27500

Well done everyone so far as lets face it January is the hardest longest debt busting month..we are on our way lets keep positive.0

Well I have already started doing this....
I set up a fixed rate monthly saver in December with West Brom at 7.85% and so far I have managed to put in £540. I should be recieving £625 bonus from work (which will be taxed) im putting £20, which is another £220 before December, away a month from my £100 spending money that I am left with after all the bills come out. And we have a LOAD of stuff to sell... bedroom furniture (£250) sofa (£100) Marvel figures (£200) Sax and flute (£380) Guitars (£100) Spanish Discs (£50). Then I have got an additional £100 coming from my premium bonds and £98 pounds from expenses from the company. Which is a total of £2663... whoop! AND as from Feb i will be getting a pay rise of £200 net per month which until December is £2200. So I expect my grand total to be £4863.
So I have decided that I will try to raise £5000 this year, but if i get any extra then great. I have a total of £7085.97 on credit cards, overdraft and mum, but with my credit card payments of £150 per month that should add another £1650... totting it all up to £6513, meaning im only £572.97 off paying off my priority debts.
The as from Jan 2009 we only have 1 year and 6 months until our fixed rate comes to an end.....so at the end of that period we should have £11,300 redemption figure on our personal loan and the remainder of ther priority debts.... so over 18 months starting next year I want to aim to save up £15,000. (£5000 every 6 months)
Heres to see how it all goes.:p£2500 to MUM, £790.63 to MINT C/C, £373.50 to RBS C/C, £885.69 on Halifax C/C, £951.17 on MBNA C/C, £284.98 to NatWest C/C, £500.00 to Capital One C/C, £100.00 to Abbey Overdraft, £200.00 to Nationwide Overdraft £14442.45 on NatWest Loan, £137,250 on mortgage.
Total Debt - £158,278.42 (£21,028.42 unsecured)0 -
Hi everyone.
It's payday :j :j :j :j .
Don't know why I'm so happy - it will all be gone by tonight!
Having said that, now that January's over, I feel as if the worst is over and it's going to be a great (debt busting) year.
Will update totals this week - I've got a bit lost with the figures, so will need to go back to scratch.
Have a good day.

Well another chunk paid off. My signature updated. Felt really good as I got Pantene shampoo and conditioner free (for blonde hair) and youngest said she needed shampoo (she had dyed black hair). Oh well. Lots of other stuff bought too (but needed for OH who was in hospital).CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

Afternoon everyone, glad to see that so many people are doing so well!
Pay day for me tomorrow, so really looking forward to that. I have £60 left from the month, so that is going into the savings pot for now!
Will update my signature once some more debt has been paid off at the beginning of the month, but pay off £105 off my work loan on payday (comes straight out), so will update for that as i'm too impatient to wait longer.
Also have £120 which "apparently" will paid by paypal in Jan, so looking forward to that too...Paying down the mortgage:
At 1 October 2011: £226,000
Currently: £224,499
Aim: 85% LTV (£212,500)
Paid £1,500
Target remaining: 88.89%0 -
This sounds like a good challenge. Got £30k of debt that me and DH are trying to pay off by Dec 2009. Have started entering lots of competitions and selling things we no longer use on e-bay, so hopefully we can shift the debt alot faster. Will have to think of alot more ways to make money if we are to pay £20k this year (£7k more than we can afford at the moment).0
