Gosh motoko, bad news on the Ann summers stufff, that really is crap. My friend has just signed up to do Ann Summers and is trying to convince us all to have parties!!

It can really get you down though when everything you do to help yourself just doesn't seem to be working. Glad youve got it off your chest now, so back to being positive and kicking !!!! on that debt!:D

    Hi,
Just updated my total after making this months payments. Have now paid of £4,177.85 which is a lot more than i would have without this challenge, but is still going to leave me short of my total by Christmas. I have worked out if I carry on as I am will be debt free by May 2009. So busy at work at the minute that I am finding it hard to find the time to Ebay /car boot sale as I had planned.
Anyway I have booked a weekend away using my Tesco clubcard vouchers. i am hoping this satisfies my need for a holiday and stops me from booking a holiday on impulse.
    Anyway good luck everyone.
    Jess

Hi all, just popping in to see how everyone is doing. No more updates from me as yet, car tax is due at the end of the month and driving lessons are eating into any chunks of my regular salary, so things are just running steadily at the mo. I'm not having to increase any debt, but not being able to throw any extra at this challenge either. Have just signed up to three more mystery shopping companies though so hopefully that might bring in a bit more work. Also have a job interview on Tuesday for some bank work, now that i have gone part time, so that should be a boost to my salary, if i get it and if they start using me!

Well done Jess on your total. I also wont acheive my target, but i can dream and like you, i have achieved so much more than what i would have done, if i wasn't on this challenge. Its also changed my attitude to things, i thought i was carefull with my money before i joined this challenge, but you want to see me now!

Hope everyone else is doing ok with the challenge and producing some nice results.

Jess - I am going to miss my total too, I was nicely on track but have decided that for my sanity I have to move out of shared accomodation and live on my own, this will hammer my repayments down but I agree with andan - I have still paid off so much more than I would have without this thread. I might not make £20k but I am still hopeful for £15k and compared with the last ten years that is still a heck of a lot of movement in the right direction. The idea of missing my challenge really upsets me and made me think hard about my decision to move out (I am stupidly competetive with myself) but I know that it is the right thing to do

Well done to those that are on track for their target, and also to those that have changed circumstances and are going to miss their target but are still dedicated to the DFW aim and going to get there in the end.

    Debt-free and Proud!
No updates till later in the month - will update monthly as the £10 a month totals come in and I know what has gone out on top to the snowballs. No major additional payments so far this month - but we lose a big outgoing at the end of the month and should have over 1K expenses coming in over the next few weeks - so hopefully these can go straight off the debts.

£545.03 this month, makes the total £3,648.43. A little behind for the £10k so far but big payments to come...

Good news, re-did my loan application joint with my mum and it got approved, woop woop

That means my monthly payments will be higher and the interest is lower.

48 months and I will be debt free at a minimum, although the plan is to pay it off early!!

Nice one Guest! Thats good news.

Well my efforts have been hampered somewhat, had water pouring through the living room ceiling. The grout is badly cracked or missing in the shower so it'll all have to be taken out and redone and the living room ceiling redone. I feel like crying. I thought I was doing well on ebay, had one of my items bought then realised it was someone in Canada! I never said I'd ship there and now she's ignoring my messages! Time wasters.

    Evening/morning all,
Just popped by to see how you are all doing?..Guesty well done on the loan.Another one here probably not going to hit my target as the recession is kicking in on the cab so as long as I can meet all repayments and pay some off I'll have to settle for that.I'm with everyone else on the struggle with the rising cost of fuel and food etc..as it really eats into what you can afford to overpay. We will all get there in the end.
I have updated sig to take into account my loan payment and a CC payment.
