Thankful for finding both plain and sr flour (first time I've seen either since before the lockdown), no rain (queues outside all shops), fluffy blankets (cant get warm)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208 -

Worked hard yesterday - the mini greenhouse was moved to it's new location, more strawberry pots were stapled to the fence and some cabbages were planted into their outdoor homes. Had a shower, made food, too tired to sit up in a chair and was asleep before 8 pm and have now been 'awake' since silly o'clock (about 3 am - took me a while to work out I wasn't sleeping). Still too early to start taking pills / morning routine (although I had a beef and rice salad wrap at 3 am) so going to attempt another nap before starting the day. Cooking, cleaning and hopefully getting to plant seeds in the greenhouse.
Grateful for huge bag of seeds arriving in the post, mum liking the strawberry pots, therefore can do more, the greenhouse fitting on the side bed (just needed to move the stones with my wellie boots, move everything that was in there, then put it all back), for still being able to move, for it being dry enough to dry the washing, yummy lamb chops for teaMy mission in life is not only to survive,but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -

Hello! I'm another one struggling with my mood being all over the place, and my days being so samey that I don't want to bore anyone to death. Plus I'm doing a lot of stuff online at the moment work wise so I am limiting computer time because otherwise I would be on all day doing my work stuff, exam stuff, kids school stuff and then my online stuff.
I have noticed my mood is always better when it's bright and sunny, and whilst it's freezing today it's bright and sunny so I will be out for the daily walk as usual later. I'm busy ignoring all of the relaxed rules in England and sticking to my routines of the past seven weeks because I'm not in agreement with Boris here (not that I ever agree with Boris). DS school is already trying to find out if I intend to send him back at the beginning of June (not unless something really changes for the better in the next fortnight).
I am out of cash - already feeling the pinch from the limited exam based work and no news from them as to whether they're going to honour any of our contracts (I doubt it). Yesterday should have been the first science GCSE and I should have been heading to London to be all important next week. Instead I'm laying in bed until 7am and doing Z00m meetings in my pyjamas... how the mighty fall eh?
Anyway, I've already done one online meeting this morning and have another in less than half an hour so I'd best get some lunch.

I had the school email this morning too CCL. They can forget ds3&4 going in to school. They do not have exams in the next 4 years so they are not a priority. They have scrapped the fines for non-attendance and have stated this is entirely a parents' choice issue.CCL - can you ask if they can furlough your exam work? There is something in Martin's weekly email about agency teachers, and teachers on short term contract being able to get furlough pay now. Maybe exam markers might fall under that rule? Hope so.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I don't normally post here but popping in to say Solidarity to mothernerd. I rarely post on that thread now. You were 100% correct. Some people need to look behind the headlines.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Hi all, just checking in. Still working from home, our work have no immediate plans to bring us back yet. I am happy about the slightly relaxed exercise rules, LO only just learned to walk so letting her down involved a lot of her just staring or sitting down to look at something interesting and I was getting stressed it wouldn’t count as exercise so she was only letting her out of pram or sling for a max of 5 minutes and constantly trying to make her move. Feel like now I can let her do her own thing (mostly, she does like to touch wheely bins
)
Grateful for LO having a video call with grandparents, Oliver Twist continues to be interesting and lovely sunshine7 -

Some people need to look behind the headlines. pollyxLove the P-word thread, and many old school threads actually, but would only ever read along. I have seen far too many bust ups over there over the years for it to be a comfortable resting ground for me . There is a new wave of 'criticising the govt = unBritishness' coming through now - mostly from the B-o-B' ers. Gosh, remember when Brex1t was the stupidest idea we had to worry about? Ranks up there with squirrel escalopes and pigeon korma for some now.Oh dear, next thing you know we will all be accused of being Communists or Witches if we don't agree to bed down with the BoJo for the good of the nation - that would be the English nation, not including the principality of Wales which does not come under the definition of this imaginary version of Boristania and is, for the benefit of this conversation, to be held as 'foreign' and therefore 'suspicious'- Mad as a box of frogs. We love you mothernerd, and I love lovely, foreign. suspicious Wales too.I shall expect a knock at the door (doorbells are beyond these folk) from the men in raincoats (flashers are now doing housecalls it seems
