Did some washing, put my large heavy lambswool thing out to air. Tired of making plastic bottle towers for the strawberries so found the stapler (a heavy duty one, not the one for stapling bits of paper) and stapled half-bottles of strawberries across the wood that holds the fence panels together, Tomorrow I will halve all the remaining bottles here (still have a couple of bins worth at home and have had some donated by neighbours). Can fit 16 across one fence panel and each panel has four strips - won't be able to use the bottom one where I'm planting into the ground or using containers. Thanks tpmprrow - typing in the dark.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6

Evening all. Didn't feel like I did much today but got loads of little jobs done in the house, went for two walks and did a workout indoors so shouldn't beat myself up for not feeling like I've done much! Today I'm grateful for the beautiful weather; living in such a beautiful area; my hm choccy protein bars; a clean house; health.7

Today never really got going. Food cooked, people fed, book read, couple of films watched, a few kids dunked themselves in the bath. Will try again tomorrow. Still NSD 84/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Saturday- yesterday was NSD 5, today I bought milk (again!) And yummy proper butchers sausages which caught my eye in the local shop. Not strictly needed but will do 2 meals, so will delay the next supermarket trip!
Got some seedlings repotted today, walk was much shorter than usual due to the rain- although I've said tomorrow we will do our usual distance even if we get soaked. Ended up marching on the spot in the living room for 15 minutes to make up my 10000 steps tonight. Otherwise all been as normal.
Gratitudes- veg growing well, DD and I still loving our "new" tv program, seeing some local wildlife up close when out for our daily walks, random catch ups with friends when out- amazing how much a 5 minute chat from a distance can lift your mood.8 -

Well I am up, first coffee drunk, politics on telly, hair brushed, so it has already started better than yesterday. Very wet and windy here, so a bit miserable really, good weather for cleaning the house and maybe making a lemon drizzle as a homework bribe.

Went to bed too late after Skype socialising and playing games (trivia pursuit) with friends - too old for this now!
Thankful for gorgeous sunshine, catch up with friends, a yummy dinner.
Cooler today with strong winds expected this afternoon so will need to sort out some seedlings and stuff in the garden before then.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -

Just catching up with the past few days and discovering that I'm feeling the same as many of you. Mostly I'm fine with being at home with the kids, but I am worried, and too much time watching telly or online makes me worse - the school stuff is rearing its head again and I don't have any faith in our government to do what is safe. I shall wait and see what Boris comes up with this evening. I have no problem going back to work if it's safe for me to do that, but I think some people are very disillusioned about what is realistic in terms of school and education. No point worrying about things I can't control though, just enjoy the time I have at home with my kids and cats.
No sitting out in the garden enjoying the world about me today either - it's been chucking with rain for hours and is really grey and windy out there. Bet it's quiet when I'm out walking later.
Best get on - I'm behind with school work so I need to get caught up.

Gratitudes for yesterday, being too busy to worry, strawberries looking good, a delivery from Tessimo and the man arriving close to the start of the designated hour as I was absolutely exhausted, lamb for dinner today (very late dinner) and mum being okay about the greenhouse - she just wants me to move it into the corner , so it will be tidier (it has the pieces of the old dining table, two kitchen chairs and lots of seed trays already in there). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7
