Did Tonik email you with the final bill?

My understanding is that you wouldn't have been transferred to SP without a final bill. Had you signed up to an online account with Tonik? If not they may have had to print a final bill one and send it to you. That could easily take a week a more.

As I hadn't received my final Tonik bill - I emailed them at help@tonikenergy.com & they quickly replied with my final bill, what they also advised was that any credit will be refunded back by ScottishPower within 4 weeks. If you haven't received anything after 4 weeks to contact SP via the contacts we've already been given -n contactus@scottishpower.com, or call 0800 040 7181 – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Someone also shared SP Trustpilot rating 1.1 - https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.scottishpower.com - so not sure if this will mean we're in for problems resolving final accounts when we all look to move to cheaper providers... I seriously can't wait to switch now....0

Every time I look at the comparison sites it’s giving me different quotes if I change the plan I am on for example if I put in tonik or Scottish power as my supplier but yet the same kWh usage which doesn’t make any sense also if I move to a small supplier I forgo my warm front discount and pay two monthes on the expensive sp tarrif but if I move to Scottish power super saver November I am on it from the start of my supply so in a way it makes sense for this year to remain with Scottish power and
move over to the cheapest tarrif they offer why is it so confusing ?0 -
I contacted Scottish Power in India this morning via their Chat tool. Got passed to a 'tonik dedicated team' still in India - just told me to sit tight, don't change and it will all get sorted ASAP:
The tariff details in case they are useful for others is as follows:Tariff Name: Basic Energy V2ElectricityUnit Price: 15.678p per kwhStanding Charge: 20.15p per dayGasUnit Price: 2.645p per kwhStanding Charge: 23.33p per dayThese are the prices including VAT0 -

A whopping 27% increase - after contacting India this afternoon- Not impressed - as I've still not received any e mails or correspondence from SP. In addition, I was informed it could take a further 3 weeks to sort out the admin. 7 weeks on an over inflated tariff will wipe out all credit within my account. Time to switch and a possible OFGEM letter. Surely OFGEM should have verified their capability to deal with the transfer, Timescales involved and tariffs with SP before agreeing to this transfer. Basic EnergyV2 is not the cheapest tariff on offer by SP. More disturbing is when I called them mid October with some questions, I was assured, unfortunately verbally, that the tariff would remain the same as Tonik tarrif Green superpower v1 - fixed 1 yr.

Sam - I have emailed CEO to go right to the top with 6 page complaint to which I have added several times. He referred it on to be dealt with. His email address is Keith.s.anderson@scottishpower.com. The more people who do this the better1

I tried via Twitter & been advised - I have checked the national database and the switch officially shows from 05.11.2020 - so this is complete news to me & I'm now off to switch - whoop whoop!!

Yes. I have begun the switch already. My online account shows that they have begun switching my electricity to British Gas Evolve. The gas is just waiting for the national database to update and the gas will be on its way as well. Scottish Power put on my online account 'We're sorry that you are moving your electricity'. Not as sorry as I am for having been swithed them in the first place!!!!!0
