Morning All
So far I've WULTD, WM x 1, emptied and cleaned the deep fat fryer, cleaned the cooker filters and put the sun savers codes on the computer!
I need to put the fryer back together next and put the washing on the line. Just realised I didn't get a cabbage when I went shopping yesterday but I don't think I saw one.
Have a good day all
Thanks for the hugs ionafan - I needed them.

Morning all
I didn’t post again yesterday but stuff got done, DH worked pretty much all day so I cleaned the house from top to bottom, it was probably just level 1 stuff other than in the bathrooms where I was more thorough but at least it got done. I also took my car out for a run as I haven’t used it all week and I don’t want a flat battery.Nicer weather here today so am hoping to manage a longer walk, DH went to do ‘some’ work at 08:30 and he’s still at it. I’m going to get the wash on the line and then sit in the conservatory with a book for a while.
Have a good day all, take care x9 -
Morning all.
Last night I decluttered some no longer used duvet covers, a sheet, and odd reels of thread to the group of sewers who are making scrubs for our local hospital. Unfortunately I didn't have any ribbons or buttons to give them as I had decluttered loads of them to the CS only a few weeks ago - so frustrating!
I need to get out in the garden today. I have already removed the heavy hosta pots off the table in the back yard which is made of an offcut of marine ply resting on two trestles from the Swedish shop. The trestles have semi-collapsed, but I think I may just get away with tightening the bolts that hold them together, then hopefully they will last until I can get replacements. Under the table is where I store all the bags of compost, etc - a very useful and necessary space in a small garden.
We have eaten the last of the scones with our mid-morning coffee, so I shall be baking Twinks later.
I've been to church in my PJs this morning - shhhhh! don't tell the vicar!- so I really must get dressed for gardening now. We have a beautiful clear blue sky, which means that all the weeds that the good Lord watered yesterday will be shooting up. So why don't my veg seeds grow at the same rate?
More (((hugs))) for everyone xxx

Quick Pre lunch update from me. Laundry on the line, I have also cleared out the utility room and mopped the floor in there (sorry to the spiders I moved).
Bin bag dance done upstairs and another pile of washing unearthed. DW salt topped up, food waste caddy emptied into compost bin. The weather makes SUCH a difference to everything x10 -

Afternoon!
After not doing anything much yesterday morning in the end, I persuaded Himself outside to start helping with clearing up the neglected patio. Got interrupted by having to bath the Idiot Cat after he got a bit overexcited and fell into a bucket of manky looking rainwater whilst trying to climb up and be noticed by us. Then, after a woozy turn in the evening and a 3 hour 'nap' to 10.30pm, I was awake until just after 5am - it would have been annoying, but for something really exciting (in my mind at least).
We have Tawny Owls! First one going 'Hooooooo', which was exciting enough (I did sort of try to wake him up to tell him, but no chance at 4.05am) - and then, at 4.35am, the 'Keeee-wik!' started up from just outside the house, presumably in the only other garden in this part of the street - I must emphasise that we live in London, in the Town Centre, not the wilds and badlands of the south of the Borough.
And then the Dog Fox started snurking directly outside the window. So the Idiot Cat was up on the bed Himself's back for security a few minutes later - I dozed off as the Dawn Chorus got going and then woke up at 8am, thought 'Nah' and woke up properly at 10am.
After a lot of settee warming, went back outside for the afternoon and cleared all the pots, all the patio weeds, filled a composter with stuff I never got a chance to burn before the council said 'DON'T' (not that this seems to matter much to the neighbours over the adjacent road), moved the mini greenhouse frame and found some surprise potatoes growing. They'll be earthed up in a bit, as I've just got Himself to shift the two bags of compost I had dragged to the back door but couldn't get any further, and, having taken my boots off as I came in the back door, I swept up the trail of dirt and leaves he'd walked in through the house.
He managed to get a roast in the bag chicken from the supermarket that was reduced to clear, so we'll be eating late, but I'm feeling quite pleased with what's been done today.
It's quiet inconvenient that I have to be up for work in the morning, really - although if I get up early, hopefully I'll have dealt with most of it by 9am and can go back outside for potting duties.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll9 -
Good evening!
I have been weeding and tidying in the garden. It is starting to look presentable! I took 2 bags of compost to the allotment (didn't stay long) and brought back 3 paving slabs (that was all I could manage with my trolley). I will get the other 3 tomorrow hopefully. They are going to be used for the base of the greenhouse. It looks like it will be a bit windy tomorrow, so it won't get done before next weekend at the earliest now.
We had our first BBQ of the year - it was freezing!!We then played Mario Kart and Just Dance as a family. DD2 videoed us dancing to ABBA - oh dear! Not only have I got no co-ordination, but I'm so fat!!
Tomorrow is another day (just don't ask me which one!!) See you on the new thread!
Edit to add:
Jo-jo - how exciting about the owland amazing in the big city. I would love to hear that where I am!

GI .. Monday.. someone moaned about 'Sundays being mental in Tesco' .. Tomorrow is Moday.. otherwise known as 'future today'
YL.. I hope DS has got hold of his good sense and dragged his brain back out of his pants
Valli.. Well done.. the clock looks fab.
Jojo.. we had a cricket next door a couple of days ago.. the wild beasts are moving in!
Today I have.. forced OH to fling 4 empty pots into the shed with some other shed type things, I binned an almost dead plant without guilt. I filled half a binbag of random gubbins, put away mountains of laundry and did 3 loads of washing. OH was supervised loading the dishwasher, bossed to shower the girls (he managed 2 he does everything at sloth speed!) sent to the shop and helped the girls fill pots with compost.. he is being sent to buy bedding plants for those tomorrow while he is out getting bread and milk.. may as well make use of his trip out.
I have.... Everyone sit down... I have cleaned 1 of the 3 kitchen windows.. and 2/3rds of the cooker hood. I then had a rather severe reaction to the latex gloves and ended up wheezing and itching until I took a millions antihistamines. I'm still a bit itchy but my breathing is better.
Love, hugs, stay safes and get well soons to everyone sick people!
