Morning all,
I woke up with a bad headache, had a cuppa in bed and feel a bit better. Dog has had a short walk, and I am cooking bacon 😊. I am going to do a Friday Tidy today, I feel better when I'm busy and going into sloth mode does nothing for my mental health. There isn't really any laundry to do, but I'm sure I'll find some 😏. New sandals ordered for the kids from M&S which I will collect tomorrow, they have none that fit. Also need to do more eBaying. Have fab days all x9 -
Good morning!
Let's go straight in with the list!
Round 1
Get up & dressed
Breakfast
Friday money juggle (it is Friday, isn't it?)
Yesterday DH & I moved the bin to it's new position! I got in and FU the washing. DH washed up (I knew if I left it long enough he would do it! 😂) I did a little shopping, took the compost to the lottie, cut the grass & tied up the raspberries. I then wandered around muttering, wondering where to start as it is overwhelming me a bit! So many weeds set in concrete (at least that's how it feels!)
DH has already been for a run today, so I will be dog walking, so no allotment today. Hopefully he will do more in the loft today. So much stuff! After round 1 I will have a think about round 2...
Hugs to those that need them. Narc0 you're description of life was a lot like mine!
Have a good day everyone! 😁9 -
Well, it is now the afternoon....that took longer than it should have!! I have also put on the WM & DW.
I have just taken delivery of some plants and 450 litres of compost!! Maybe I should do some gardening.....

Lounge tidied
Lunch made and eaten
Bolognaise made for more meals this weekend
Chat with good friend
Sent masks to friend, which involved buying stamp online, quite a challenge but useful service and I caught the postlady at lunchtime so masks on their way. Now I've done it once I will be happy to do it again to send cards or little treats to my DDs
Very pleased and relieved that my 2 tennants have both payed their rent this month, I was starting to worry about it.
Next job is my time sheet for April as won't be going anywhere until at least May.
Enjoy the weekend folks!9 -
Hi all
I've made a start on sorting the spare BR this week so hopefully that will be sorted in the next few days. I've been at the SA with DS Wednesday and today but I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday and went to bed at 5.30. Other than that i keep plodding on.
Thinking of you all

YORKSHIRELASS said:Hi all
DS2 asked me this morning if GF might be able to come and stay with us if he cant go there. Answer was obviously no because she might bring the virus into our house, it's breaking the rules, and anyway how I am supposed to feed an extra person? For a very intelligent lad he is being very stupid about this. Cue lots of stomping about which really annoyed me (even though I understand that he is finding all this hard).
Himself ended up cleaning the kitchen at about 2am, as I objected to being woken up, the kitchen being a mess and not even having the spare bed to decamp to when my hip hurts and I can't get back to sleep because, as always, he's dumped a load of music related crap on it.
Got up at about 10am, did precious little other than clean up after somebody overate kibble and then topped it off with some nice, fresh grass, as it was colder today and I was a bit achy. So I pottered about with the pot plants inside, which led to a nice bundle of Basil clippings to go into the pasta sauce for dinner. Himself came back from the shop brandishing a pot of good Lemon Curd as a peace offering, so I am thinking of making pancakes tomorrow morning with our last egg - there haven't been any in the shops all week.
Vaguely toying with the idea of leaving the house for the first time in weeks tomorrow, depending upon how warm/cold it is - there's an Italian Deli about a quarter of a mile away that's still open and I'm getting a bit bored with what Himself can get from the nearest mini supermarket. He's expressed interest in making pasta, so if they happened to have any 00 flour (and eggs), I'd feel inclined to sit down with him at the kitchen table and make some.
And if not, it's the weekend apparently, so it's technically time for me to clean the bathroom again tomorrow.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll9 -
Evening all [insert waving emoji]
I have crossed another item off my Toots list, as today I finally completed the family history research for my friend. It is all neatly ordered, packaged and tied up with blue string, ready to deliver to her at the first opportunity - and I shall not be untying the string for any reason. I have enjoyed the challenge, but it has been far more time-consuming than I had expected!
I also dealt with
- mending Rosie's toys
- making phonecalls to family and friends
- sharing my Easter egg with DH, even though he didn't reciprocate by sharing his chocolate bunny with me
- doing jigsaws online (all those untidy pieces strewn across the screen needed to be lined up neatly)
- cooking and eating a rather good vegetable curry, to use up odd bits of veg
Late this afternoon, as Rosie and I came home from our walk, it began raining and hasn't stopped yet, so watering the plants is one job that I can already cross of my list for tomorrow, and mowing the lawn will have to wait until next week
Big (((hugs))) to YL, Fayolle, Jojo, Kazw, asb, juliejim, Round, Narc0's SiL, and anybody else who needs one xxx

ionafan lucky you, rain. We had a tiny amount and need much more although my peas are emerging. Aha, another online jigsaw fiend!
Went for a run.
Clipped a bit of hedge.
Checked greenhouse.
Did a bit of dusting, de- webbing and vacuumed lounge/diner. Moved small sofa to its summer position away from the conservatory doors.
Vacuumed stairs.
Swept kitchen floor.
Read meters and entered readings online.
Did a bit more tax return.
Double-checked Mt T order for collection tomorrow.
Checked bird food supplies and arranged more.
Enjoyed the free theatre recording of Phantom of the Opera, it's years since I saw it live.
Praying for a friend's daughter, already with multiple conditions, who has a fever after coming out of hospital following an infection.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9
