Food allergy and have you checked for fleas, or is the dog pulling the fur out? I'm assuming you've not changed perfume, body spray, washing liquid etc.

  • My vets said to monitor it in the end and didn’t seem concerned. I was worried it might be mange or something but time will tell 😬

I had my booster and I’ve not been feeling very well. Hopefully that will pass soon.

Need to try and make a list of what I have in so I can shop from home better for my food shopping. I have gousto this week but I’m already bored of 1 recipe and I have it for 2 more meals. Might feed it to the dogs 😂

got paid from one of my online jobs and put straight in my pension. It was less than last month as I’ve been too exhausted to do the work 7 days a week and dropped some of the additional tasks I was doing.

Received most of my mystery shopping items now, just waiting on 2 more. One was so painfully small it made me feel a bit bad (swimming costume) but it was also ridiculously short in the body length and no chance of fitting.

  • Can you freeze it for another week?

Kids costume or made in a country where the sizes are so far removed from UK ones!

All you can do is keep watching dog and see if there's any change as it should become clear what it is, or doggy will get better and you'll never know.

You've done well to keep going for as long as you have. Take the time to rest and refocus.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  • I think the dogs bald spot is healing so no idea what caused that, maybe she scraped her head under the gate (she likes to look under the gate… a lot)

old boy struggling still and I had to carry him home from his walk and he went to bite me tonight (he didn’t actually bite me and stopped as soon as his teeth touched me). I think he’s really sore from whatever he did on his walk. I only took him round the block for a sniff and a pee but he hurt himself trying to pee up a fence somehow. He’s got the physio next week so I’ll see what she suggests as I’m not happy about him at the moment I think he needs more support

I had a takeaway pizza tonight 🙊😬 feel a bit guilty but I do so rarely get a takeaway (twice a year maybe) so I can allow myself an end of year treat. I still have £330 birthday money left so it can come out of that

was shocked that I spent over £60 on petrol this week. It used to cost me about £44!

I went out this week (again a VERY rare occurrence) so im a little worried about covid but I think it only takes 2 days to show symptoms so I’m probably all good. Will do a test before I go anywhere next to be sure.

Finally feeling better after my booster as I was sick for 2 days after and my lymph node is still sore and swollen but otherwise I’m better now
  • I'm glad to hear she's on the mend.
With furbabies I'm always mindful of their real age, rather than human equivalent, especially in the colder weather. Could you take him to the garden only for a few days, let him recover a bit as maybe round the block is a bit much?

Petrol has got a bit silly, but the price dropped by me this week.

Don't feel guilty about having pizza. It's easy to become preoccupied with saving everything and forgetting to have a bit of fun along the way.

Hopefully your node will settle soon, it seems to be a common thing with boosters.

The booster knocked me out too by day 4 i started to feel better. It still hurts a week later and i have injections 6 times a day they dont hurt. Weird. I think older doggie is in need of pampering and shorter walks, good luck at the vets, they sound really loved your pets which is so nice. Pizza sounds lovely yum!!!! Have a good day.

  • Took the young dog for a really great run this morning and then got the dreaded ping from the Covid app saying I’ve been in close contact with someone infected with Covid 😱 I did a lateral flow test this morning and was negative so I’m hoping I’ll somehow not get infected otherwise that’s my break from work and Christmas ruined 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
  • I am so sorry to hear that ForestBluebells I hope you stay clear of covid and have a lovely Christmas 🎄

  • So far so good, I think I’m probably safe now of no symptoms yet and testing negative! Phew!

I have been AWFUL this month for food shopping though oh boy!

I designed a shopping list based on 3 recipes that will last me all week with leftovers but …. I bought other “stuff”. I also went 3 times in 3 days and bought more “stuff” 🤦‍♀️ I’ve now spent £239 on food this month and I’m going to have to hope I don’t need more for next week but haven’t planned next weeks food 🙄

I did buy my dogs £15 of meat to make them treats with and I’m going to make some cinnamon buns for me!

I still have £350 left from my birthday money so I’m thinking of buying some new running shoes as mine are starting to split (although I won’t wear them until these ones do break). My normal daily trainers are also starting to split so I may buy a new pair as I only have 1 pair of daily shoes.

I’ve been feeling a bit down recently trying to decide what I should do with my life. I don’t want to work where I do forever but I don’t want to take a huge pay cut to change either as it will slow my savings down.

My mum met her financial advisor this week and keeps trying to reassure me she will give me £325k from her pension when she passes and up to £375k from her home depending on care costs coming out of that but I keep telling her I can’t rely on that and need to make my own provisions. I know she’s trying to help but I can’t save nothing as it’s her money and she’s free to spend it.

She wants to give me £60k now to help me move to a better home but I know that even with that very kind gift I still couldn’t afford to move to somewhere I prefer. I am happy in my 1 bedroom place for now I just don’t want to die in this home so I want my next home to be my final one. I seriously regret not buying a plot of land I saw for sale 2 years ago as that would have been perfect for a final home.

I’ll just keep plodding along and hope that one day my savings is enough to move. I’m mostly pushing pensions for now though so that won’t be any time soon
