  • Bath is easy. Windows slightly harder as a step or ladders are required, but similar concept to the bath. Both have videos on YT.

If it's your neighbours gutter, not upstairs, they need to sort it out.

They did have their patio relayed when I showed them as their builders had completely left it open and draining freely into mine plus covering the damp proof course but it still leaks. I’m just going to put some concrete or something over to cover it as they are good neighbours
  • I’ve ordered that book you recommended and I’m going to go buy damp paint tomorrow if I can find it. I already bought silicone but was too scared to do it.
  • Any DIY store has the paint.
Don't be scared, fill the bath, remove one section of the silicon and redo it. Put loads on and smooth with your finger, leave to set then empty the bath.

  • Just sorted my car insurance which was cheaper than last year and I should get £40 cash back for using a comparison site meaning I’m only paying £112 for the year. I did double my mileage just in case as I barely drove this year and who knows what will happen next year.
  • That's really cheap with the cashback!

  • I bought the damp paint, there was a cheaper spray can but I thought it was be hard to avoid getting the windows so got the paint. I also got some new paint brushes as I needed smaller ones for this and some expanding foam to try fill the gap outside the window, not sure it’s the right material but it has a picture of it being used on bricks. I got IDd buying it despite being 37 😂 I tried to buy a silicone scraper to remove the old silicone but they have sold out so will just have to see if I’m able to remove it without

then I popped into Halfords to buy some more car shampoo and a guy came over to help me… I didn’t really need help buying shampoo. Ended up buying an extra sponge and cloth plus a set to clean my headlights. So I’ve got a few tasks to keep me busy.
  • A little of the paint goes a long way, it will also keep in case you need it for other areas.

Do you have a Stanley knife? That will get the old silicon out. If not, a steak knife or sharp kitchen knife will do it.

They never seem to pop over when looking at the things where help is needed!

  • Unfortunately I’m almost certain I have Covid now. I’m still testing negative but I’m not feeling very well today and 3 from the lunch are now positive. I’ve booked a pcr got tomorrow to know for sure :(
  • You may have escaped it and be run down. Try and stay positive.
