  • I'm in no rush for the refund/credit, I was just wanting some reassurance on where I would stand with regards to getting my money back for the accomodation with my flight being cancelled.

They may offer to reschedule rather than refund - if you can fight this remains rather unclear, but most people are being offered credit for a later booking rather than a refund.

Thanks, that would be fine as I would just book a different hotel for a different time and find somebody to go with.  As I said I was going with a big group of friends and family but they can't go again until June 2021 and won't know dates until early next year. What I didn't want loveholidays to do is just say your hotel is open so there's nothing you can do. Hopefully I can sort something.
  • We have a package holidays for 5 booked through Loveholidays with Jet2 flights (it was originally booked Thomas Cook but was changed after they ceased to operate).

We are due to fly out on the 9th June and back on the 23rd (Glasgow to Antalya - Antalya to Glasgow).

Got an email from Jet2 saying all flights are cancelled up to the 17th June and they would contact all customers affected in departing order.

In the meantime I tried contacting Loveholidays and they said they dont deal with the flights, only Jet2 can issue the refund (to the lead passenger only).

Now here is my thing, the email form Jet2 only mentions my departure flight, no mention of my return on the 24th. Obviously my flights go alongside a stay in a hotel, which I wont be able to use as there is no flights prior to a few before the end of original stay. Ultimately this departure flight affect my whole package. Tried contacting jet2, was on hold nearly all day and didnt get through (got billed ~£45 for the call on my mobile).

What are my options here? Who is responsible for my holiday package and who should I be chasing for a refund?

You need to wait for jet2 to cancel the 2nd flight.

And love holidays/ jet2 are asking that you only contact them about travel in the next two weeks .

You should in no way be contacting them  yet , not until early June

    Please can someone help.....
I have paid a large part of my holiday to Dubai (13th May). I have asked Love Holidays if I have to pay the remainder because the hotel have confirmed they are closed until 28th July. They have said yes because they haven’t cancelled it!

I’m concerned i will pay it and they will then cancel and try to get me to move the holiday when the cash is needed right now!

    thanks

  • I had a long weekend booked for 20th - 23rd March this year from Edinburgh to Amsterdam. Due to Coronavirus the flight was cancelled by EasyJet however they only cancelled the inbound (return) flight and not the outbound flight. We are now getting the runaround trying to get a refund. The full holiday was booked through LoveHolidays but they insist the flights need to be refunded through EasyJet. EasyJet insist the opposite! Have EasyJet pulled a fly one here by only cancelling the inbound flight? Surely if we booked a package for flights and accommodation through LoveHolidays, it's up to them to refund the cost due to the current situation? Getting nowhere fast! Have been offered a credit voucher but we can't use that so need a refund. LoveHolidays say that ATOL protection expires on 31st July at which time we can request a cash refund and if LoveHolidays receives a cash refund from the airline, this will be passed onto us. However EasyJet are saying we can't request a refund directly as it was booked through LoveHolidays. I feel this is just a loophole that these holiday and flight companies are using to get out of refunding customers. I saved up for this holiday so to not get anything for it and also not get a refund is upsetting. Is there anything else I can do? Thank you.

LoveHolidays are your agent, they are also Easyjet's customer so any refund would go to LoveHolidays as it was them that made the payment to the airline. Easyjet will issue the refund to LoveHolidays who should in turn pass it on to you.
When Easyjet cancel a flight one-way, they also give you the option to change or refund the unaffected leg - the notification that comes from Easyjet confirms this "We are very sorry your flight has been cancelled. Please choose a free flight change to another flight, or a full refund of the cost of your flight and any directly related un-flown sectors within the same booking." so no pulling a fast one if only one leg was cancelled - refund due for both legs.

  • I am desperate for any advice anyone can offer. We were/are due to travel to Crete on a package holiday with Love Holidays at the beginning of June. I still have a balance due at the beginning of May, however I have already received a cancellation for my return flights from Crete, yet nothing from LH?   Do I pay my balance knowing we don't even have return flights? If this is a package organised by LH why are they not reorganising? Help??

Loveholidays have posted that their vouchers can be refunded after 31st July for cash.

Not what everyone wants to hear but at least it's not a no
