I found a CCJ on my clear score, issued by Civil Enforcement Limited, CCBC.
when I moved house and I updated my address at the DVLA using the CV5 form, but this never happened.
the courts and all other parties involved have been sending my paperwork to the wrong address and I now I have a CCJ.
is this worth the fight, I would have paid it had i known that there was.

Have you read the newbies thread? If you do an obvious search within it for SET ASIDE you will find your options

please advise the best steps i should take??All about set asides in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

is this worth the fight,
Of course it is, 100%
I would have paid it had i known that there was.
I hope not, nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Dont even think about your MP yet. You have a far more pressing timeline.
But it really isn't difficult to find out. Google.
You must. must. MUST go through the newbies thread. You must read up about set asides. You must work out a suitable defence.1 -
You start with the second post of the NEWBIES that asks you to read it first before you post. Unfortunately a set aside will cost you £255, but you get it back if you win. We don't know your chances because we don't know the details of how it came about, but we have helped lots of people win their cases.Backhereagain said:I am so new to this I don't even know where to start, how do I find my local MP and what can he help with?

CCJ was on the 3rd of January 2020, I moved house and sent off the paperwork to update my address some time ago, this obviously has not happened as they were sending my paperwork to my old address? my car got clamped a couple of weeks ago from Marsden group, had to pay £513.00 on Friday at 5.30 pm as the courts were closed for the weekend I couldn't appeal (separate offense) and that's when I first had my suspicions that my details had not been updated at the DVLA, as I had no prior paperwork to either of these offenses. I think i should be given a fair chance.Fruitcake said:
