British airways refund

I paid £210 for BA flights. I had to make a date change after the original booking which cost £6 plus £120 admin free for the booking. My flight was in April and was cancelled due to COVID. I have requested a refund but have been told I’m not entitled to the £120 back as it was a non-refundable charge. Can I dispute this? I am left with no flight and £120 worse off through no fault of my own. Thanks0

If you made the date change before the virus affected flights, then the usual rule is that fee would not be refundable. If you changed the date afterwards, then yes you should be refunded.0

Anyone else received an unexpected refund from BA? I'd accepted a voucher but I now have an unexpected credit balance on my card. Weird.0

No wheelchair waiting for our daughter on arrival from Tokyo ( it had been booked and double checked ) so we had to rummage around to find one to enable us to get from one terminal to another. We landed at 13.15 so overall ended up with a 6 1/2 hour delay and they even refused to consider giving us vouchers for food and drink. By then I was too shattered to argue so just sorted it myself. I know it's difficult times but that's when your customer service is measured. Compared to JAL staff - who were phenemonal in helping our daughter with her wheelchair and her needs - BA staff just came across as not caring, not interested and bored, this in a deserted airport so no excuse of gazillions of clients and being over-run with queries, problems etc. Heathrow was a 'ghost town'.0

Our flight to Rome in June was cancelled by BA. As we wanted a refund rather than a voucher we tried ringing them without success at first. Kept getting "please call later" advice. In the end my husband did not press 1 or 2 option but just held on and we go through to a human. They promised a refund after 21 working days. so now it is just a waiting game. Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone.

no mention of a voucher, very straightforward. Points already back on my account, email confirming the cash refund in my inbox and advised that it may take up to 15 days for the refund to process. Very happy with that so long as the refund appears.
Could you update when (hopefully soon) you receive the money back.
Thanks for the advice and good luck to anyone else trying to get their money back.
