This week has been much better, he is coming over today for roast dinner around 4 when he has dropped the kids off. I got a voucher yesterday for £10 off when you spend £40 in Lidl. I went there this morning but struggled to spend £25 so topped it up to £40 with a huge lump of beef which I will cut in half and roast half today and freeze the other half.
Only one more week to go at work, my kids have just about finished their mock exams and it is finally starting to feel like the end is in sight
I haven't got much further with banking stuff but am really looking forward to a good sort out over the holidaysMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

And finally the holidays are here
Not without the government throwing another curveball our way just before the end of term but hey, we can worry about all that in January ...
We finished school at 12.20 yesterday and I was home by 1 and asleep on the sofa by 1.30 :I slept for about 3 hours and then went to see Andy when I woke up. We had a nice evening together, I won't see him now til Monday as he has to go and collect a part for his car today and then he has his kids. My brother is coming round tomorrow to sit in the garden for a Christmas catch-up
Today will be spent mainly doing some housework, walking the dog, and chilling with the football. I do need to post an ebay parcel and I might go back to the GP re. my ear as they are both bad now and I haven't heard anymore from the hospital (again).Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

This morning I have been and done most of the Christmas food shop, I still need to pick up the veg and the turkey but everything else is done. Presents are just about all wrapped, but actually the whole thing just feels so meh this year. I've started my end of year banking round up, it's only a rough guide at the minute as there's still 10 days left, although I have budgeted for another £20 of petrol, the rest of the food and other than that I don't suppose i will be going very far or doing very much so hopefully there won't be too many unexpected surprised in there. Currently its looking like I'll be about £100 over but I haven't moved stuff around from various pots yet so hopefully it will all balance out in the end.
Today I am going to see Andy as I haven't seen him since Friday. We're going to get a couple of bits that he needs for the kids then have a lazy evening together tonight.

Turkey and veg are bought, all that is left to get now are some lettuce and raspberries which I'll walk over to Sainsburys for on Xmas eve. If they don't have any left so be it, not the end of the world
I have delivered the neighbours Christmas cards, collected a basket of my cards from a local care home ready to stocktake over Xmas, ds has gone to work for the day, so the rest of the day is mine nowI am going to spend it planning my goals for the new year. I also need to do a few pottering about bits indoors (mop the conservatory floor, do some washing etc).
The finances aren't looking too bad, I just need to try not to spend much more over the next 9 daysMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

So Christmas is done for another year, it was a nice, but quiet, day. Yesterday we did a family quiz online which was fun. Today Andy has gone home and I am going to have a pj day and a pottering about kinda day, my favourite
Ds has been really good over Xmas and has quite a few hours at work this week which he wasn't expecting, so he's pleased and it will keep him busy and bring in some pennies this week. He's gone off to work about 5 minutes ago and will be back about 5, so I have the house to myself, apart from the dog, and will spend it pottering, eating, watching footie and planning for 2021Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Not having a bad afternoon at all, I have had quite a lazy day but have managed to gut under my bed, hoover it all and sort out what lives under there. My wrapping paper / tissue paper supplies are all organised again and put away neatly.
I have also signed up for a market research project in town on 5th January - an hour in a hotel for £40
Plus I have just received an order for some cards which was unexpected although this is the time that lots of people are getting organised / stocking up for the year ahead, so that was a very welcome surprise too

Morning, this morning I went out nice and early as I needed to get some petrol and a few bits (bread, milk) to keep us going to the new year. I did very well in Asda and have stocked up the freezer: 2 packs of chicken kiev's reduced from £1.37 to 34p, burgers reduced from £2.28 to 57p, cod fillets reduced from £1.85 to 46p, 4 packs of 2 salmon fillets reduced from £2.69 to 67p, an Indian takeaway meal box (chicken jalfrezi, chicken korma, pilau rice, naan bread and onion bhaji) reduced from £7.00 to £1.75 and 4 limes reduced from 79p to 20p (will slice and freeze), so in total it came to £6.34 for 4 burgers, 4 kievs, 2 cod fillets, 8 salmon fillets, the Indian takeaway and 4 limes. Very happy with that and the freezer is rammed
Today will be spent sorting stuff out, housework and not spending any more money hopefullyMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
