I wash everything as it comes into the house (and wash/bag up all the veg) so that germs don't transfer into the house. I pick it all up with washing up gloves on, put soap on the gloves and then wash the gloves and all the jars/packets. I then wear gloves to tip all the bagged veg out of bags and wash/drain/dry it and put it into reusable bags in the fridge. That way it's all ready to use when I need it so I have no excuse for not eating properly even when work is busy!
I don't use hand gel in the home - soap, water and LOTS of handcream!7 -

We do similar. We leave most shopping in the cool garage for 3 days, but some items will get washed in very soapy water (oranges, lemons, shrinkwrapped cheese,...) for immediate use. He strips and showers immediately after coming home from shopping. I've read somewhere that corona viruses can survive for upto 2 years in a freezer, so we don't buy frozen stuff for the time being. I love A1di more than ever at the moment, because they hardly handle the merchandise; all the boxes go straight from the factory (where they were packed without human intervention) onto the shelves and pallets, againg without touching by humans.

Yey!
I got asparagus in my box! Wheeeeee! Happy bunny me! 😋
I shall eat the tips in butter later, and use the bottom stalks in a stir fry tomorrow.
Also got some spinach, French beans and two avocados, so alles gut!
I made a load of carrot soup earlier, but the new carrots will go to a neighbour, as I still have more!(I just lurve spiders!)

some ginger (which I use lots of), coriander, grapefruit, salad leaves, tomatoes, BNS, beetroot, plantain, Alexanders, nectarines, pears, bananas, garlic, lemon. All now put away and I'm washing the greenery and bagging up. I also found some wild garlic on my walk today, which is also being washed. So after work I've got some serious meal planning to do!

I switched to a small box this week as I liked the pool of fruit and veg better, and kept my fingers crossed.
Got more pears, but they are a different variety from the last lot, so might be tastier.(I just lurve spiders!)

Alexanders were in the main box, and they're going to be a challenge too. I'm using the leaves in soup with the kale ribs and asparagus stems and some of last week's celery and onion and a lot of garlic plus a couple of potatoes. Meal planning the rest later...

I looked Alexanders up as it is not something I have ever used. I think I have seen it in the hedgerows here but I might have got it mixed up with Angelica. What parts have you got in your veg boxes? It looks as though loads is edible, even when the stalks start to go a bit hard - this site looked quite good with suggestions for using the different bits.
We had simple cauliflower cheese for supper, with a little scoop of vanilla ice-cream in a little 1960s stainless steel dish, complete with flat shovel spoon (and a ginger biscuit instead of a wafer). Naughty but nice!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
