The leeks in cheese sauce sound delish 😋
Last night I made chilli n cheese air fried potato skins, n ate them with cauli cheese .Sounds weird but was sooo good .I used the inside of the spuds to make a cheese n potato mash 😁

For dinner last night we fried up a sliced leek in with some bacon lardons & spinach then spruced up a cheese sauce & coated some very plain pasta with it!  Really tasty substitute for an onion in just about anything 

We have two manky leeks left which have seen better days & 3 gorgeous fresh ones which need to be tackled so think we will be eating at least one every day this week!

You've just reminded me to make p n l soup today! It's my fave 😁Am also using up all my sad looking veg, to bung in a veggie chilli. It always tastes fab,  with lots of garlic n chilli to give it a kick 😋

Last night's leek meal was a shortcrust pastry case, blind-baked to prevent soggy bottom, filled with a mixture of buttered baby leeks, chopped up cold roast pork leftovers, two handfuls of peas and topped with grated strong cheddar and baked until the cheese bubbled.

It was yummy and there is half left (well, that is to say, there was half left, I have not actually checked whether DH's late-night snacking habit saw any more disappear). Two more bundles of leeks shared with other households

That sounds good Suffolk_lass.  Did you use a sauce of any kind with it before covering with cheese?

Sorry, yea it's potato n leek soup .Haven't made it yet, but have made a massive grated veg salad, to have in a wrap for tea.Can't believe how much bendy veg was in the fridge 😮😮😮
