Good evening everyone
Congratulations to Losers 👏👏, well done STSers 👍, commiserations to Gainers, respect to Exercisers 🏅
You’re doing really well in identifying the causes of your gains, knowledge is power!
My laburnum tree is in glorious blossom, and the evening sun is shining on it. I went “real” shopping this morning, but yesterday and this afternoon I played the “game” of online ordering, why does it take soooooo long.I remember Rag Tag & Bobtail, and Andy Pandy, and Bill & Ben, and Muffin the Mule (I even had Muffin as one of those little jointed wooden toys which move when you push the base). But Pogles Wood was after my time 👵🏻.
Today I ate
B : bacon and scrambled eggs
L : peppered smoked mackerel with celery, radish and black olive salad; tangerine
D : roast chicken, runner beans, carrots and broccoli; strawberries and yogurt
S : none“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

No problem Roundtuit I've reset you 🙂 you look as uncomfortable as I would in the same circumstances, I'm usually trying to get to the back with people pushing me forward as a 'shorty'. I spent a month or more ignoring the email requests for a photo for the online team organisation chart until pressured by senior management, funnily enough the only one I had was three years old and 30lb lighter than I was 😁
I made my weekly trip into town today, it seems busier than it has for the last few weeks, although I did get into Wilkos today as there were only two people in the queue. A quick turn around to unpack my groceries and then I used what I hope would be a quiet lunchtime to see what was at the garden centre, it's only around the corner. I picked up some greatly reduced slightly sad looking plants which I'm hoping with some TLC will fill some gaps in the garden and was able to replace the herbs which didn't over winter. It took me considerably longer to queue to pay than it did to get in.
I didn't get around to eating this morning and realised when I was standing in a queue that I had a splitting headache and was feeling slightly icky that it was 2.30pm and I had only had one mug of tea and no food.
L - bread and marmalade as it was quick and I needed to eat
D - smoked salmon, mackerel and prawn platter with HM coleslaw and salad leaves from the garden.

Morning xx
Day 1 got the job off to a flying start:
B - nothing. By the time I sat down to eat it was lunchtime!!!!
L - 2 slices white bread, 1 teasp spread, 4 fishfingers, salt
T - 2 cauliflower cheese grills
S - none
D - tea, coffee (both with skimmed milk), diet coke, water
Total - 984 calories. Not enough really, but hunger didn't wake me up in the night and I've not woken up hungry, so it's a kick start and shows that I can do itI didn't watch any tv - that's the danger time for me: mindless tv and mindless snacking in the evenings. Time to amend my tv habits too - maybe just watch programmes I actually want to watch and pick up long neglected hobbies....or go for a walk......
steady on girl, there's limits
Day 2 has started with my morning brew - that's one habit that won't change!
Thank you for the reset Brambling
Have a good day xx waving to my twinnie monna xx

Roundtuit I love my tea in the morning too, nothing sets me up the same. Although I do like the occasional milky coffee for a treat. Mindless eating is my downfall too - its a bit like the thing where you drive somewhere but don't remember a lot of the drive there - I look down at the empty bag of minstrels and don't even remember eating them :0. Its such a shame as I'm sure I could have enjoyed them.
I think my other downfall is fats. Why do they all taste so good? I had a peanut butter sandwich the other day and weighed the bread before and after the peanut butter - huge shock on the calories. I always used butter on mine too - and it was more than a teaspoonful!! They are out of the window for me until I can control myself. My favourite at the moment is cream cheese - I love it with tomato sandwiches and on ginger biscuits as my fake cheesecake. Huge calories though, even more than the spread I'm using. I've discovered the butterly spread is almost half the calories of lurpak. I know somethings are worth the taste, but I'm developing a preference for less calorie stuff these day and trying to make sure I measure it all.
I've managed to call a halt to the upward spiral, thank goodness. Have had lots of exercise over the past couple of days which always helps - and when I'm exercising I'm not eating. For some reason I got on the scales this morning and found they are both weighing differently today. I'm going to go with the new set of scales, which are weighing a little bit more and they can display in stones/pounds. I'll go with the higher figure and round up to the nearest pound (they do 1/4lbs). The advice to have a window is much better, I feel a lot less stressed about it now. Morning Losers,
I think we are all becoming more aware of our triggers and working out ways to side-step them.
I had another revelation yesterday. For some reason I sat down to eat my lunch with no distractions. Living on my own I've been used to eating with TV on, radio on, music to listen to or a book to read, but yesterday it was just me, the sunshine and some bird song. I did my new thing of eating very slowly and relishing every mouthful. I so enjoyed my slice of toast, covered with slices of tomato, grated cheese and popped under the grill. That is the meal I would choose if I could only eat one meal for the rest of my life. After that I chopped up a banana and topped it with Greek yoghurt and honey.. It was only a small bowlful, but halfway through I realised that I felt very full, so clingfilmed the bowl and had the rest for breakfast this morning.
It is amazing me how little I need to eat before feeling very satisfied. I did have a slice of toast and strawberry jam for tea, but that was it for the day and I slept for 7 hours straight last night. Can't think when I last did that.
Happy eating every one.
Hugs to my double, roundtuit, and anyone else who needs a comforting squeeze.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Roundtuit, I suspect that I wouldn't be half as porky without a television.
Supersaver, we are programmed to seek out a combination of fat and sugar, which is the composition of breastmilk. I like to think of my greed as a strong drive for survival!
Monnagran, did you have the toast near bedtime? I was reading somewhere that a late snack might be better for weightloss after all, instead of the often recommended no food after six-ish.
I am not sure if I should count yesterday as a failure or success.
I had..
Spaghetti bolognaise.
MASSIVE helping of chocolate sponge cake with cream, but as the meal instead of after the meal.8 -
Morning All
Bit cloudy here today, but washing is out on the line, as it's Sunday I make a proper pudding so old fashion school dinner jam and coconut topped sponge in the oven to have with custard.
I have frozen the rest of my rhubarb muffins, firstly fresh fruit bakes never seen to keep long, which leads me to, secondly I won't eat them in one go to 'get rid of them'
I shall take one out when I fancy it.
Well done supersaver on turning it around, I'm fine if I stay on track, but one small blip and I'm gone for the whole day, I find it so hard to draw a line and get back on track mid way through a day, something I think I need to work on.
Mindless eating is definitely dangerous, I try to keep my hands busy with knitting, or my husband gave me a handheld video game thingimejig, and I have discovered the animal crossing game, where you make a little island, it also has another plus in that you need two hands to play it!
