Old Style Weight Loss 2020 - Part 2

Good morning all,
I'm in the middle of making gingerbread people for the House Troll. The melted bit of the mixture has to be left to cool so I've made a cuppa and nipped in here while i wait. Blue_Doggy I did the wardrobe sort out. The majority of it was done yesterday with the HT sat on my bed telling me what looked OK and what was awful. I finished the drawers off this morning (mostly trousers) and I now have a single wardrobe of stuff that I can just wear. It's full so my work t-shirts are hung in the other wardrobe with winter stuff that fits (won't be needing either set of clothes for the forseeable...). I have 2 black binbags of dubious fitting/too small stuff which I have said I will go through again when I've lost a stone and a half. Ha ha - they may never see the light of day again.
Breakfast this morning was cereal (weighed) with blueberries and yogurt.Lunch will be a chicken salad wrap with half of a chicken breast that I cooked on sunday while I was making dinner. Dinner will be chicken and mushroom fried rice with peas and spring onion made with the other half of the chicken breast minus a bit of chicken for the cat who has entitlements.
Take care all of you and stay safe7 -
Porridge with raspberries from the freezer for breakfast
Salad roll with a teaspoon of cream cheese for lunch.
Either half a pizza or some leftover chicken casserole for dinner.
Went for a run this morning so have been a bit picky all day. 2 ginger nuts, a mini-cadbury cream egg and a container of olives from Aldi. Going to try and stick close to my 1500 cals as I'm really hoping to report my 1lb loss in my first week - weigh in Saturday - it feels like ages awayEdit - decided to make my weigh in day Friday as I sometimes like a treat Friday night x

Afternoon All,
I've been trying to write a post all day and work keeps getting in the way
Cranky I tend to live in trainers most of the time too, although I do love flip flops in summer. Well done for sorting your wardrobes out. Although mine is overflowing I fear it would be very empty if I got rid of the clothes that don't fit. It'd be even worse if I got rid of ones that fit but that I'm not that keen on!! I definitely have far more in the "I'm sure they'll fit one day" bag than I can currently wear.
Zafiro Well done on the loss. I've often used wraps as pizza bases but would never have thought of using them as a pastry substitute for a flan. I might have to give it a go.
TTB Your daily food really doesn't sound like a lot, I hope you manage to get the sorbet.
Monnagran A crumpet with cheese and butter sounds like perfect recovery food. And I did have to laugh at talking to food that you know you shouldn't be eating. I think I'd get myself PPRd if I wrote what I'd be likely to say in a similar situation
Brambling Buying a smaller plate just for me probably isn't a bad idea. I hope your kitchen smells less like a chippy now, it seems a rather extreme way to prove that you can still eat chocolate after vinegar!!
Blue Doggy I love spinach and I love soup but have never thought of making spinach soup!! Good luck with getting used to your new glasses. I never quite got the hang of walking without bumping into things when I'm wearing mine - they only get put on for watching sport or subtitled films
roundtuit I'm not sure about suddenly starting to eat cheese, it's something I'm very rarely without. Well done for getting out for a walk, I've been absolutely useless at leaving the house and have only gone out if I've needed to go to the shops, and sorry about the well-meaning but misguided friend buying you biscuits.
Black Saturn Your food today sounds lovely. I know what you mean about not always fancying soup when it's warm though.
There's not really much to report here. I'm still not doing a great job of managing to eat sensibly and not pick all day, although IzHe had the day off today so working from his office rather than the kitchen has helped reduce the snacking a lot. I've got a couple of days off work, just to sit in the garden and enjoy the sunshine, so hopefully having a good book to keep me occupied will stop me picking as a way of getting away from my desk.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx9 -

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.8 -
Morning all. Well done Molly41, I was trying my clothes on yesterday and there is definitely a little more give in them. I have a shelf of 'too small' (as in struggling to do them up) clothes and I look forward to trying those on again but probably in a few more weeks
I've had my porridge with honey yoghurt and raspberries for breakfast. I have a mugshot and bovril lined up for lunch as its a non-jogging day but I will go for a long walk later. Dinner is going to be one of my 800 calorie pizzas and I realised that if I wanted to I could give up about a quarter of it for 2 Lindor chocolates. I'll make the decision later as I'm undecided on that oneBut I might just save the 2 Lindor for tomorrow when I'll have done a jog and 'earned' them

Morning All
Popping in with a loss of 1lb not brilliant but at least I'm off the blocks now, yesterday was dh birthday so there was chocolate cake, and there will be takeaway on Sunday, but in between I shall try my hardest to behave.
Work has been busy and we were told yesterday not to wear our uniform and to wear our own clothes, which quite frankly, has filled me with dread, I am surrounded by very young, slim girls, who could make a bin bag look stylish. I am much more comfy in my uniform, and don't need the added chore in the mornings of finding something to wear. On the subject of shoes I'm definitely a boot or trainer fan and as flat as possible, I have terrible balance and could never manage any type of heel or dainty looking shoe.
Still I am off today the the sun is shining, have just put some washing on the line and might wash the outside windows later.
Not sure on meals today as I usually work Wednesdays so shall see what I can find, probably some sort of rice or pasta with veg and chicken.Enjoy your day x'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Well done Sirens
I'm also a -1lb this week
which considering I also seem to be eating a lot of cheese I'm happy with. The cheddar I opened for the cauliflower cheese does have a OOD of 28th Feb so I have been quite good not eating it before now
i think it was brought Christmas
Molly & Supersaver clothes fitting better is definitely a non scale reward
Supersaver I will say if it was me I would probably choose pizza and then eat the chocolate as well about 9pm which is why i have a weight problem
Cranky just to say thanks for your crochet link I have crocheted my first granny square, nobody will be allowed to look at it too closely and it involved some swearing and much unpicking but I did italthough at the speed I work at if we lock down until Christmas I will only make a dolls size blanket. I'll keep plodding on with it as there is a sense of achievement in teaching myself a new skill (with help for a nice lady on U Tube and the pause button) and it is something I have always wanted to learn.
As with all of us life is a bit repetitive at the moment and work is taking advantage of us doing nothing else and keeping us working late, I seem to be working longer hours than when I go in the officeYou may call me sad but this afternoon I got quite exited by a email from the local garden centre (walking distance from me) who are starting a click and collect in the car park for customers with their loyalty card. A very small selection excluding plants but i can get just compost, email sent in by reply as it's as rare as flour around here. The two other local garden centres only sell with plants and one wants you to spend £50 with £15 delivery and the other will only sell it with their plant bundles so they select the plants and it is £50-£150 plant bundles and you can buy a limited amount of compost on top. So three bags of compost and some canes for my runner beans ordered and fingers crossed it works............. At least I'll be able to pot on my seeds and I may share with my sister if I'm feeling kind
B - Overnight oats with banana
L - rice and veg stuffed large mushroom and beef tomato
D - not sure yet i was going to make a risotto using squash I roasted at the week end but not sure if i fancy it now, if i don't it will need to go into the freezer. Otherwise i have eggs so it may be a omelette with LO veg (broccoli and runner beans)
S - chocolate
A 'friend' sent me a recipe for a ginger and marmalade loaf cake, she tells me it's deliciousunfortunately i have all the ingredients
I DO NOT NEED CAKE I DO NOT NEED CAKE I DO NOT NEED CAKE

Going great guns sirens and brambling
Today I had an apple, cauliflower cheese with new potatoes and greens, jelly and a tablespoon of cream.
Tomorrow vegetable soup with pearl barley, bread, fruit and yogurt.
Hope everyone is well.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks7 -
Brambling I ate the pizza - delicious and then had 3 Lindors!!! And its not even 8 pm. Very delicious but 220 calories more than planned. Here's hoping it won't affect my Friday weigh in too much. I did do a 2 mile walk earlier so hopefully that might compensate
