Blue_Doggy said:I know what you mean about the solitary life, I’d always felt my default setting was “recluse”, but I’ve very much enjoyed the last twenty-odd years of being social with friends and miss it very much. I can cope with solitude but ...
I miss real face-to-face conversationI try not to ask 'what day did you say you were going' even spending much of the day on Skype calls isn't the same as going into the office. I miss my trips to the local cinema/ theatre either with family, friends or on my own, today was another email advising of another cancellation this time for of a play I was going to see with my sister at the end of May, i know it's very unimportant in the grand scheme of things and these things will pass
I'm glad today was ok Roundtuit and how nice to be given a Easter egg
My sister called early to torment me with the knowledge my nephew was making profiteroles, she didn't seem keen on the idea of sharing, I thought my nephew could leave them on the doorstep, ring the door bell and step backShe's too mean to share
. Probably just as well
work didn't finish until 6.30pm and we also had a very boring lunchtime telephone conference from our Regional director 😴 work is very much like ground hog day at the moment
B - overnight oats with banana and raspberries
L - black bean burger from the freezer
D - pan fried lambs liver, root veg mash, braised peas and lettuce

Thank you for your very kind thoughts - I am a little better with the situation but the 3 boys are certainly not cherishing me although the middle one was very thoughtful on Thursday when I was stressing over my benefits X DH does cherish me though and looks after me very well x
Im hoping to do some gardening - well sitting down gardening - i have some wild seeds to sow and pots to sort out.
Ok weigh in today and Im pleased to report a loss of 2lbs so very pleased with that 😃 Have a good day well done to those who have lost or sts and to those who have gained or who are finding things tough keep on keeping on xxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.7 -
Good morning everyone.
I think I am going to draw a merciful veil over yesterday. Don't ask me what I ate because I couldn't tell you. I just know that I did most of my eating standing up and consisted of whatever passed in front of my face. It was one of THOSE days.
Today I'm going to concentrate on eating my 2 meals and NOTHING ELSE. There will be a lot of teeth cleaning and Extra Strong Mint sucking.
One of my favourite sayings. ........Not only did I fall off the diet wagon, I dragged it into the woods, set fire to it and used the insurance money to buy cup cakes.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Well done Molly41, you are on fire 💃💃
I confess a marmite sandwich in addition to yesterdays food, 2 slices bread no butter.
Today I have no idea what I'll be eating after my porridge. Mum's at the helm. I'll pop on and post the facts later, rather than speculate!!
Another sunny day people! Hope we can all enjoy it.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks8 -
Morning All,
TTB As far as puds go yours sounds very healthy and a marmite sarnie, especially with no butter, doesn't sound bad either.
Monnagran You're quite right that people don't give themselves enough credit for just getting up and carrying on each day. And I'm sorry you weren't having a good day yesterday but I very nearly snorted coffee through my nose at the "insurance money to buy cupcakes" comment
Molly Well done for the loss, you're still absolutely storming it. And well done for laying down ground rules. Everyone knowing where they are is much better than seething quietly and exploding when they didn't know there was anything wrong.Blue Doggy I don't think it matters how many years have passed, anniversaries are still hard. I'm glad you made it to the cemetery though. I know what you mean about missing face-to-face contact, even though I've got IzHe here I really miss being able to just pop round to a friend's house for a cuppa and a natter. Face time/Zoom/etc. are great but they're not quite the same.
roundtuit I'm glad work wasn't too bad and bless them for the Easter egg and free lunch. I hope today's okay too.
Brambling I think it's perfectly normal to get twitchy about people overstaying their welcome but also to miss being able to see them when you want to. Did your sister relent and send your nephew with a profiterole in the end?
I think the less said about yesterday's food the better. It started well but went rapidly downhill after dinner, when I started (and very nearly finished) one of my Easter eggs
Hmmm, big sparkly line under yesterday and try again today.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx7 -

Well done Molly
another good loss
Monna i can no longer get insurance on any wagon I now own
Izadora i'm quite glad i have had no Easter eggs in the house, but does it make me a bad person if I confess to finding a very good bottle of gin in the spare bedroom wardrobe and there i was i thinking the emergency gin was under the stairs (oops) i think i hid the good stuff from my sister and then forgot about it
Weigh in for me today is -1lb which I'm not sure is deserved but I think it's because the profiteroles arrived this afternoonI may have reminded my nephew this morning that I had some seeds for him and my sister that i'm growing courgettes and beans for her here
There was no threats involved I called it bartering
they were well worth the calories and I sat and ate them during yet another 2 hour conference call where we went round and round in circles. A week of salads ahead (maybe) well after I eat the flapjack sent by my sister
B - overnight oats with banana and raspberries
L - falafels and baby spinach in a small wrap
D - sausage, air fried chips and LO ratatouille
S - blueberries, 4 profiteroles and maybe some flapjacksLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin8 -
Brambling, I know. I can't even buy another waggon now I've spent the insurance money.
A much better day today. 2 good meals and NOTHING else.
B: Weetabix, 1 banana and grapes.
L: A small/small to middling corned beef pasty
sauteed potatoes
coleslaw
chocolate ice cream.
Phew!I believe that friends are quiet angels

Good stuff Brambling 🧚♀️
Tea is being served, I'm drooling!
Turkey breast fillet in bacon veg and mushroom sauce. With mash. Then co-op trifle. I'm not complaining though, I'm glad of the help! And it was delicious!
Apart from that little lot, porridge and an apple.
See you tomorrow then... 🙂A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks5 -
Evening All
I think my wagon has square wheels, the way it's moving, I shan't weigh in this week if that's okay I think I need a week to get over the Easter weekend else I might go into shock.
Day off today and it was a beautiful day so I washed all my nets and hall curtains, I also made some kimchi as I've been wanting to try it for awhile, think it takes a couple of days to 'mature' we shall see.
Food for today
B 2 satsumas and an apple
L baked chicken and rice from the freezer ( did some shopping today and needed some space so took out a load of pre made lunches as we are not having lunch at work now due to reduced hours)
D more rice in the form of egg and chicken fried rice
Going to make a a mug cake later with some oats to have with my tea ☕️
