Old Style Weight Loss 2020 - Part 2

Good morning everyone
It's a beautiful sunny day and I am enjoying my birthday immensely. I had toasted cheese and ham sandwiches for breakfast, I am having fishfinger rolls for lunch and chicken and chips for tea. Not so much as a vegetable is sullying my birthday today although my son has made me a beautiful carrot cake which surely counts as one of my five a day.
Hope you all have a lovely day too xxxx

Happy birthday dumpling xx
I am happy, and somewhat amazed, to report - 1 lb this week. No I don't know how either. I got on and off the scales several times but I could not make myself weigh heavier!
Brambling - would you update and add my STS from the week before as well please? Thank you xx
I learned a new skill yesterday. I ate two biscuits with my cup of coffee. TWO biscuits. NOT two packets of biscuits!!! And they weren't the last two in the packet either - which means that I left an open packet of biscuits in the cupboard and didn't go back for more. Pass the Brasso MonnaNow that I've done it once there is no reason I cannot do it again: a precedent has been set.

Afternoon All
Happy Birthday Dumpling, enjoy your carrot cake, definitely counts as one of your five a day, and besides birthdays are calorie free xx
Well I'm trying to repent from yesterday where I ate my (quite considerable weight) in food, lemon cake was only the beginning.
Today
B 2 hard boiled eggs
L bacon sandwich ( no oil used)
D will be jacket pot, oven roasted veg and Mediterranean lemon and garlic baked cod, recipe uses butter and olive oil but I shall try and lighten it up a bit.
probably a bit more lemon cake later ( well it has to be eaten....)

Happy Birthday Dumpling 🧁🥳. Mmm Carrot cake enjoy your day with your family 🙂
Well done Monnagran, Roundtuit and Zafiro 👏👏 lots of lovely halos on the chart
Sillyvixon well done on your none scales victory, its always satisfying when smaller clothes fit 👏
Still too much cake talk 🍰 Monna banana muffins made with chopped up finger of fudge bars they aren't calorie free but are very good and as with Dumplings carrot cake one of your five a day 🙂.
TTB I've never heard of 'tea belly' I usually get called a teapot, as I never turn down a mug of decent tea as long as there's not too much milk in it, they tend not to ask me at work if I want one It just appears on my desk 🙂
sounds like you're busy Zafiro but it's obviously helping with burning the calories
i walked into town today via the chemist to pick up the inhaler they didn't have last week. I hoped by being there opening time i would avoid the queue, I wasn't the only one with that idea 🙄. It's only a small chemist so only two customers in at once, I can think of worst ways to spend 15mins than standing in the sunshine 🙂 although the guy in front of me looked like something out of Dr Who with a black face mask the kind with filters (like one used whilst sanding) and mirror sun glasses. I was lucky as the queue outside Boots in town was about 30 people. There was only a 10 minutes to get into M&S which I heard has by the far the shortish queues of SMs. I walked about 4.5 miles by the time I got home, the last 2 miles with a heavy bag of shopping
L - the last of my HM chicken soup and half a small baguette
D - roast lamb planned with boulangere potatoes and celeriac, broccoli and runner beans

Oh dear Lord, I don't think I will need to eat until Tuesday at the earliest. Good job I don't swim or they would be calling in the whalers with their harpoons. I have eaten so much today but I have loved every bite even though I am now clutching my belly and praying for Rennies
. Back on the straight and narrow tomorrow that's for sure!
Well done to all of you who have lost weight this week. I meant to say earlier but I was full of birthday goodness (and cake). See you tomorrow xx

Good evening everyone

Delicious! (Even though I say it myself! Light, beautifully risen, nice even sponge. Look out Mary Berry, here comes Blue Doggy! 😄😆😂🤣 😉)Two words Blue chocolate muffins 🤔
sillyvixen well done! 👏 both on having the confidence to buy your new clothes in smaller size, and in now being able to wear them 👍 Yay! for your exercise and your eating plan👏Monnagran congratulations on your loss 👏 ! Chocolate muffins are calorie-free when given away; as SIRENs says, birthdays are calorie-free, and it was Junior Doggy’s 🐶 birthday. My favourite way is to eat them in a parallel universe, and leave the calories there when I come back. That’s three theories - take your pickand then there’s -taff’s interesting recipe, that makes four (and plenty of the 5-a-day). Thanks, -taff 👍
tighteningthebelt well done on your new habits, all sounds good
zafiro fantastic loss! Well done 👏👏👏
dumpling your birthday feasting sounds like a lot of fun! I’m glad you had a good time 🎂🍰🥳
roundtuit well done on your loss 👏 and congratulations on your new skills 👍
SIRENS we all have a bit of a feast sometimes, it’d be dull not to 🍰
Brambling well done on all your exercise and thanks for the tip about M&SThe guy in the shades and black mask probably thought he was really cool, it’s a shame the fashion designers haven’t got to work on making masks which are good to look at.
I was just very domestic today, lots of houseworky things. Plus a bit of tea in the sun. Sorry for the long post - haven’t spoken to anyone for a couple of days, emails aren’t the same. Lots of phone calls tomorrow, so hopefully I’ll be all chatted out!
Food today:
B : bacon, eggs and lo parsley sauce
L : sardine salad (mixed leaves, beetroot); apple
D : lentils with mixed Mediterranean vegetables and couscous
S : hot cross bun (no spread); chocolate muffin; 1 square of chocolate“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Zafiro that's a terrific loss, congratulations! 🤸♀️🤸♂️🤸♀️
Well done roundtuit I bet you're feeling a bit more encouraged now 🤸♂️
Well, Sunday weigh in and I've lost 2lb! I'm chuffed with that. It seemed to drop off in a clump over the last 2 days (I'm a daily weigher). I think sometimes it's a case of holding your nerve when you know you're eating the right things.
Anyway
B L porridge
D Easter lamb roast, wine, roasties, veg, mint sauce and gravy. The C word for pud, with custard. Dad will take the
remainder "least I can do to support you" 🤣🤣🤣
S nothing
A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks8 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Apologies, I forgot to post my unremarkable STS on Friday. Obviously being at home and being able to take the time to cook and bake is not good for weight loss. The Easter bunny left me some chocolate this morning but it came in a tin and it's staying in the tin! Well done to everyone who has lost this week.
I'm glad that you enjoyed your birthday dumpling.
Take care and stay safe all of you
