  • I am trying to get the correct phone number and selection to request a TUI holiday refund as I cannot wait until the credit Voucher has been issued and then to request a refund.  The phone number given is 02034512868.  I then select option 1 as this holiday was booked in a store.  I then selected option 3 for special assistance and waited almost 2 hours to get through and they said I was through to online bookings and a department who also did not deal with refunds.  I tried again and again selected option 1 for in store holiday bookings in store and then selected option 5 for other.  I just keep getting a message to say all operators are busy and to call back later.  Any advice would be very gratefully received  Thank you

I have split your query out into its own thread as it was not related to travel insurance

@MallyGirl: There is a large TUI Refund thread. Might be better to place it there rather than start another new thread.
  • I apologise if this has been answered several times before.  I have read through a lot of posts and FAQs but it is just one point troubling me.  Booked a holiday for August 2020 around a year ago with TUI.  At the time of paying a deposit I was offered insurance, but declined as wanted to price check this independently.  At the time as the holiday was still over 12 months ago I couldn't seem to get a price online randomly.

Of course, forgot to get round to it and the whole pandemic situation arose.  Have not yet paid off the bulk of the cost of holiday.  I dont mind doing this to fulfill my part of the agreement, but will TUI still offer me a credit note for future holiday if I have no insurance?  I assume it will, through ATOL or ABTA but just want to check.

Yes , regardless of insurance you will get a voucher if they cancel. This is fully protected if by some remote chance TUI went bust

They have been issuing top up vouchers of 25% , these are not protected

Great, thanks for the clarity.  Out of interest what do the top up vouchers relate too then?
