Launderettes and bicycle shops are staying open, so it's clearly not just bread, food and medicine.

Hopefully not too much of a stretch to think solicitors and removers will be able to pull it out the bag for those of us moving this week!

My removal company has just called to say they are cancelling our move on Thursday. It will be interesting to see what our solicitor says seeing that we have already exchanged regarding penalties.

The BAR have said only moves that are in progress can continue and all others need to be cancelled.
Hire companies are still open so looks like we are moving ourselves!
Need to be out of rental, husband a key worker, supermarket driver, so only has this time off to move, and mortgage offer about to expire!

My solicitor says she classes a house move as essential travel so believes we're still going ahead for Thursday. I'm not sure I'll really 100% believe it until it actually happens, though.
  • we are due to move by Friday ,all was moved forward just had a text off the removals firm saying they will still turn up tomorrow, still waiting to find out from the solicitor if this will be ok, if we have to stay we will so taking everything day by day

Update from my boss who runs a removal company.
Slight back track from the BAR , which says those moving house may well be too far down the process to stop and these moves should proceed but any others should be postponed or cancelled. As we see it that indicates we should honour what we have this week . However if anyone does not want to work then we also understand
