Flight on 20 March cancelled on 19 March, I requested a refund immediately on the Website. Didn't chase it, received an e-mail and a refund to my Amex on 8 June - so nearly 12 weeks.0

Just wanted to add my experience to the easyJet saga. Flight was cancelled late April due to coronavirus and this was at a time when they removed the refund form and you could only call them. Tried that several days on the trot only to get the same automated message and automatically hung up. Sent a letter before action demanding refund within 7 days, no response. Issued a claim, they acknowledged intending to defend and then filed a defence admitting the claim (they had no defence really) but being the awkward gits that they are, they disputed the interest rate at 5p per day I was seeking saying it should have been less and as at that date, the total interest was about £2.50.
When I pointed out that because they've admitted the claim I can make a further application for judgment, claim back the costs of the application and bag myself fixed costs of £50 for my trouble which would ultimately cost them over £300 more in costs, they agreed to pay me within 7 days (inc. interest) which arrived a few days ago.
All in all, total time from making a claim to payment was 30 odd days but probably closer to 40. Personally I think the 3 month wait is a bit of a joke and I know the situation is unprecedented, but each to their own. I decided to bypass all that crap and potentially waiting longer.

Finally got my refund from easyJet although there was nothing easy about it, pretty painful experience really and to top it off my credit card company are asking me to jump through hoops to get it into my bank account!0

I am inclined therefore to accept either the vouchers or a transfer before 1 May, because holding on for cancellation and refund is a gamble (albeit a good one).
No word on 6th May yet though so I guess that means they are working a week ahead...
I still have one outstanding refund from a flight that was cancelled on 11 March, this is the one where they refunded my flight but not my husband’s flight (both on the same booking). No idea what to do on that one....it says it has a pending refund and it’s not a massive amount of money but still just seems odd.0 -
Boo to Easyjet! Probably had only 2 million refunds to deal with!!Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!0

The return leg was with easyJet, I'm considering doing a chargeback on those too after reading this thread.
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Did anyone hear the interview with the EasyJet boss on R4's Today programme? Gave weasel words about the delay in refunding customers0

Still slightly confused.
Got a full refund on the CC for a return flight at the end of the month even though only the outward flight has so far been cancelled.
Not offered either vouchers or the opportunity to change dates which I was planning to do.
In fact the first I knew of anything was when the money appeared on the CC.
Well done easyJet.
Computer says yes !0
