Good to see some positive news on here; hopefully an indication that other refunds may begin to appear.

My Work Colleague was due to fly to Barcalona on 3rd July with easy jet.  she has today received an email from them saying that her flight is not currently cancelled but giving her the option to change with a voucher and £10.00 credit.  all the flights for this date are stating "sold out" and I have read on here that this basically means cancelled.  Her flights were for a hen party and she just wants here money back but is worried that if she does not accept the voucher (they have given her until 16th June to accept) then she will lose her money.  can anyone offer her any advice.  Many thanks

There is light at the end of the tunnel! My 26/04 flight was cancelled on 19/04, and I've just had the refund come into my bank overnight.
Looking at that, about 8 weeks from cancellation to refund. My flight was cancelled 11 May so I expect early July. That's fine, at least I'm fairly sure it is going to happen.
Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!

I don't know if there are confirmed dates yet but reports from a couple of weeks ago suggested some flights may resume at the end of this month.

If she refuses the voucher but the flight goes ahead then she won't be due a refund, assuming it is a flight-only booking.

As you sad, if a flight is showing as 'sold out' then that has usually been proven to mean it will be cancelled. However, I am unsure about this being a certainty as we approach flights resuming; it means they do not sell more tickets for these flights in the event that they end up cancelled, but they may also be preparing for being able to carry fewer passengers due to social distancing - nobody can say for certain.

Interestingly I just got a notification of refund from Easyjet by email - literally just now - so will let you know when I get the money credited back!

When did you get your email advising of the refund? 2 days ago by any chance?

We were due to fly from Belfast to Manchester on 6th July - received this email yesterday:
"We’re getting in touch regarding your upcoming trip. We really hope to be able to welcome you on board but recognise that government travel restrictions and safety guidelines continue to evolve. As a result, we haven't currently cancelled your flight, but we do understand you might be thinking about whether or not to travel.
Your booking falls within one of our peak periods, so as an offer to help you plan, you can now request a voucher for the full value of your flight and we’ll issue you with an additional £10 credit as a thank you which you can use towards another future booking.  Both vouchers will be valid for 12 months giving you plenty of time to plan.
In order to process your request as quickly as possible it’s important you provide us with the correct information, so please do take your time checking your submission is completed correctly. This offer is open for you to reply until 16th June 2020."

I'm going to take the vouchers as its likely we will use them in the next year to visit relatives.
We have a further booking from Manchester to Morocco on 6th July which haven't heard anything about yet.  Theres a more substantial amount of money involved with that one...

They are offering you extra money for cancelling a flight that is due to fly,  that does seem a bit strange.

No way Morocco will open their border until at least late July if even then...

EasyJet just emailed and offered £10 additional ‘thank you’ credit if we ask for vouchers before flight on 2 July is cancelled. My guess is if I wait until flight is cancelled they will increase the  ‘thank you’ credit. Does this make sense? I would prefer flight to be cancelled as I need to negotiate a ‘force majeure’ refund from hotel.
    Thanks
From memory that offer is time limited - think about it, if they cancel the flight first then why would they give you an extra £10?
