What small DFW things will you do w/c 23rd March?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😁

Morning folks
I thought I'd start us off. Technically I should be working right now but they have told us to stop all work that's not on our current project, so I'm not entirely sure what to do.
Things to be grateful for today:Sunny days and having a garden
Yarn stash that is probably SABLE
Kind neighbours
History DVDs (although watching the episode about the black death might have been a mistake
)
Small things for today:B/L/D from stores
Make a small rhubarb crumble as a treat with rhubarb from the allotment
OH has a few teaching hours (am unsure as to how I feel about this. Good that he is earning a little something but terrified at him facing the public) - music school closed. They are trying to move to online lessons from next week. Kinda feel better about this tbh.
Heating on 17 deg max. I have found that this keeps a background level of warmth to the house without usuing too much gas. - done
Try to go for a walk for 30 mins after work. I was going to walk 30 mins before and after but the stress made me too tired yesterday. Although i did sleep like a log last night
Have a good one all

Morning allThanks for starting us off CLF. Hope your work concerns are resolved soon.Nice and sunny again today, might empty the compost bins and spread the stuff that is ready on the garden (the stuff that isn't rotted yet goes back in). Messy job, but someone has to do itOther things:Check banks and update spreadsheetAll food from home, I have taken salmon out of the freezer for dinnerNo shopping planned, no outings planned apart from a short dog walk, and posting an item for RM Surveys.Prep rest of week's items for RM Surveys - I really think they should suspend, or partially suspend the survey, don't mind going to the post box, but I am not keen on queueing at the post office with parcels at the current timeContinue with exercises for my hip pain. It is improving.

Many thanks for starting us off CLF. I just caught the tail end of last weeks thread and i also hope the work situation improves soon for u.
I also aimed for a positive day...esp as one of the cats was sick in the middle of the night:( so
* cat fleeces washed and on the line making the most of the good weather
* banking checked first thing
* i suspect it will be my last trip out to Tesc@ for awhile. Went this morning in the elderly and vulnerable hour. Very quiet, plenty of stock and people were taking the sanitizing of trolleys seriously. Got a free bunch of flowers from them as they had loads of mothers day flowers left.
Got everything i needed which wasnt alot and staff very helpful.
* bits topped up for district nurses to treat me at home if line blocks
* worked on a Christmas shoebox which didnt go last year. Replaced the chocolate and topped up the box with extras. No where near Christmas but very calming!
* couldnt get into the wrapping of the Christmas presents (i hate wrapping with a passion) but didnt want to waste this gift of time so wrapped birthday presents instead.
* have been watching far more tv than usual-making the most of midsommer murders!
* need to run the hoover over and sort out DD cat then im good for the rest of the day.

Hello Frugalistas,
This week I intend to keep steadily busy, as that is the best way forward for my state of mind in such difficult times. So I will be keeping all financials up to date, which will involve some funds transfers if the work I have booked goes ahead mid-week....which is obviously a bit shaky now, but we will see.
I will be continuing to use food sensibly with zero food waste - ditto household supplies.
I will be progressing my current two knitting projects, particularly the bigger much more complicated one.
I will carry on working in the garden as the difference recent gardening efforts have made has lifted my spirits & there is loads more left to do.
I will stay in touch with my sister, sister-in-law & best friend, especially as we can't see any of them.
I will learn to skype.
I will only leave the house for our weekly food shop.
I will carry on posting in my dfw diary daily to keep up my motivation & sanity levels.
Take care all, stay as safe as you can,

Hey everyone
Still working for the moment - depending what Boris says in half an hour. We've been put on a rota so that we're only in the building for a half day a week. Obviously all subject to change at very short notice but my day is Friday - so I did a half day this morning and that should be it short term. I'm battening down, overseeing my work email and trying to do a bit of teaching with the kids as well.
Will be on here a bit more regularly than usual as I have a bit more time and have stopped panicking quite so much as I have been for the past week.
Much love to everyone (thinking of you CLF)
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Evening all,
What a day! followed by the Pm's statement this evening
In the way of small things
* exercised using the online info our gym has sent us
* ate food as per our food plan (will now have to look at this again tomorrow based on tonights news as we need to make the most of what we have in before thinking about trying to get to the shops)
* made a fish pie to use up various little pots of veggies I had in the freezer
I really need to get back to posting here properly as you all know by now I do like a good long list to tick off to help me feel like I've been productive!
Take care all and stay safe.
xxxSticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

@carrielovesfanta thank you for starting this week's thread 😇
Love to hear what everyone is up to and how they are adapting.
Me and OH walked to the supermarket, I was also given a free bunch of flowers. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much was in stock (a couple of areas still low), hopefully, this will be the case in more and more shops and stop people panicking.
We dried the washing on the line, always a site that makes me happy.
I caught up with some friends and family.
A couple of regular things I did:
🏵Pmp
🏵RM survey @DawnW I have decided i am going to ignore posting anything at the post office counter for now
🏵Stuck to the meal plan
🏵Updated the freezer inventory
🏵printed out some resources for future lessons
🏵made a loaf of bread
🏵made a batch of porridge
@carrielovesfanta sorry to read the news regarding your job, sending you a big virtual hug

Morning everybody and happy sunshine.
Yesterday was super busy working with students and just getting tech up and running all day.
Managed lunch in the garden though on our rickety garden furniture.
Counting 12 nsd days and car went nowhere yesterday.
Today is my day off so will organise the house better, sew some seeds and do yoga and take dog for a walk with a friend(on an app).
And a bit of food shopping.
Stay zane, busy and positive.
