Morning folks
I'm really enjoying reading your posts. Dawn - yours are particulalry bright and making me smile.
So unless some sort of miracle happens the company will go into administration at the end of the month. We do have an active project so a few of us may be kept on to complete it. I have a reasonable likelihood of being one of them.
Also, water is seeping up through my dining room floor. Not fast, but the concrete is damp and made a damp patch on the carpet.
I actually ended up working all day yesterday until 8pm (sweet irony) so my weekend has shifted by a day.
So, take a breath. Take a swig of coffee. Here's what's happening today:B/L/D from stores
Make a meal plan
OH is doing 5 hours of teaching online! This is a really good thing. I'm very happy and proud of him
Write some blurb for OH's Facebook page to try and get more pupils!
Go for a walk
Dark wash on
My bargain plug plants arrived. Pot them up with OH.
I might add more but that looks like a good list
Have a good one all and stay safe xxxxxxLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.315 -

Morning all. Lost a day yesterday - called in sick because my anxiety was through the roof Tuesday no Wednesday. I just did nothing all day and felt better. Those who know me will know that doing nothing is something I NEVER do. Just sat in the sun mostly. Looked at my phone but avoided all news or anything related to the Thing.
Back in work today (from home). Still flaky but trying.
CLF - glad you can't hear drumming! Re the water, surely plumbers are still working-? Do you know what's caused it?
Today's tiny list
-check banks
-washing
-check if I can do an online shop. Am in two minds. Do NOT want to go to Aldi etc BUT our little Spar type shop doesn't have everything. It's SO middle class but I really want croissants for breakfast next week 🤣😂🤣
-our local butcher's is open (1 customer at a time) so will support him next time we need fresh meat).
-will cancel an online subscription thing. It's complicated because it's one of those direct payment things so every year it just takes £100 but there's no direct debit against my bank. I can't find it as a 'pre-authorised payment' anywhere in my paypal. Will email them.
That's it. I must try harder at coming up with a small plan for each day because this is going to be a long haul, and small victories will be more important than ever.

Morning allSorry to hear the bad news about your job CLF
How businesses will survive this I don't know. I imagine many of the shops that have closed won't reopen again. Might well happen to the one I rent space in, tbh. Glad your OH is managing to do some work online.
I got hardly anything done off my list yesterday as I spent most of the time sorting out my OH's IT problems. He is doing some FB videos on his woodwork stuff, but isn't IT savvy at all - eventually managed to get across to him that uploading a longish video on a phone with little free memory is a bit like the postman trying to get a big parcel through the letterboxStrange and not strictly accurate metaphor, but got the idea across! Today's gem was about how bulls' wotsits (from slaughterhouses obvs) were used in the 19th century to make walking sticks, which one would imagine would be a bit of a conversation stopper, but it would seem not given the number of followers he has
Fortunately (for a number of reasons) it was short, so no upload issues today.
Hoping to be a bit more productive today! So far I have walked the dog, washed my hair with my everlasting shampoo bar, left it to dry on its own (must tie it up in a minute as it has gone wavy and weird, no chance of a haircut at present) and popped to the corner shop in search of fruit. I only got a pack of 2 apples - left the bananas, the only other choice, as there was only one huge bag containing about 12, and I decided to leave them for a family who needed that quantity! They did have plenty of toilet rolls though, so I bought a pack of 4. Just one pack.I have laundry to fold and put away, bedroom to hoover and dust, and the bathroom and kitchen to clean. I suppose at least the house will be clean, despite everything falling apart around usIt is a nice day again, so will try to get out in the garden, even if only to water the seedlings in the greenhouse. Not much cooking today as we have food I made on Wednesday to use up before I make more, half a spinach pie and half a cheese and veg quiche. The rest of the 'old' fruit, one squishy pear, a shrivelled satsuma and a spotty banana will make a small fruit salad for pudding, with some of the cream that the milkman left yesterday. My hands are dry from all the extra washing, so I have stationed bottles of hand and body lotion going back years in the bathroom, kitchen and next to where I sit, the ones I got in gift sets for Christmas and never use. Will try to think of what else can be used up to make life a bit more pleasant!4 -
Morning frugal pals. Lovely to hear you all. CLF can you lift the carpet for now so it doesn’t get any worse? Hugs re work.My list today:

sew up a hole in a pair of leggings
washing out
knitting
bit of home schooling
make some biscuits with smalls
use up continues - found some water softener under the cupboard so putting it in each wash
Prep next months budget

another go at practising crochet - if any of you who do it have someone good to follow on YT to learn the basics that would be fab!Drop something off on friends doorstep. Came in our veg box and we won’t use it so don’t want to waste it when I know it’ll get eaten at theirs. Will do on our daily walk.Make hummus, use lemon juice that was left over from lemon drizzle cake earlier in the week.Have a good day all. Purps.5 -

Hi March Mayhem-Avoiders,Just a quickie.Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:
Checked online banking.
Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.
Drink only water for a couple of hours.
Turn off Wifi box when not using it.Lunch was random things from the back of the fridge.TIP OF THE DAY: For anyone who wears a partial denture and isn't wearing it round the house in the solitude of self-quarantine....you need to put it in occasionally or you may find when you want to wear it again it is too tight. Most dentists are only covering emergencies just now and won't be able to help you with a refit.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama4
