our neighbors are nuns without internet access so I gave them our WiFi password so they can watch live streams of their churches Easter service, hopefully it gave them some comfort.7

When a thief stole my 18yr old's car wheels, a passer-by witnessing it called the Police who found them hidden in a back lane. The passer-by returned, refitted them for her and even went and bought locking nuts and asked no reward. True genuine kindness which has left us all with a much better memory than the theft would have done - not to mention the cost that she wouldn't have been able to meet -having to buy new wheels and call a garage to fit them because her insurance excess being a new driver is huge!5

Admiral insurance have contacted me with some changes to my insurance and breakdown policy because of my situation as a key worker, making it much easier for me to stay on the road and get to work should anything untoward happen to my car. I don’t know if other insurers/breakdown firms have done the same but I was really impressed.2

When we'd reached the total (£14.86) my daughter announced that she wanted to spend it on some boxes of chocolates for the NHS staff.
She was a little disappointed that we couldn't go out there and then to get the chocolates but I reassured her that next time we go shopping, it will be the first thing on the list. When I had a major op I wanted to buy a huge box of chocolates for the ward. However a retired nurse friend said that everybody bought chocolates or chocolate biscuits and a lot of the nurses were really struggling with their weight. She thought some hand cream might be nice so when I was in TKMaxx I had a look and found lots of Crabtree & Evelyn small sizes, 12 to a box and they were very cheap. If you haven’t used C & E hand cream before it’s gorgeous.
The nurses were really pleased and 2 or 3 said “it makes a nice change from chocolate”With love, POSR0 -

The amount of help out there is amazing. I live in a sheltered independent living over 60s community, we all have our own properties and communal facilities. Only about a third of the residents use the internet so I circulated viralkindness details to the others and some of the residents have told me they are a lifesaver.
We are lucky as we are helping each other as much as we can but there are many older people who are isolated.I hope people don’t mind me posting all this but I feel sad at the moment because one of the most popular residents told me yesterday her 84 year old sister had just died from Alzheimer’s (another cruel trick of nature) and she hadn’t been able to visit her for a while. I wanted to hug her but we are following the 2m rule strictly.2 -
Today, whilst shopping at a local shop, I was given a free glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and then a free little bottle of hand sanitiser. The staff had been given a load from a large distillery so were giving it away. I drank the juice (delish) and then donated the sanitiser to an elderly friend who is shielding. Taking and giving!
