Individual 3D printer owners are banding together to use their equipment to create PPE masks. Genius.

Listening to Martin each Monday on BBC Radio 5 Live's Emma Barnett show has been a breath of fresh air and a reminder of the good in humanity. The terms he uses: 'forbearance', 'compassion' and 'congeniality' are exactly what we need right now; acts of altruism to keep our local economies from going under. I gave a nod to Martin's wisdom in my recent video blog for Geography teachers (search for 'Downward Spiral Coronavirus Geogramblings')To everyone out there who are willing and able to support their local businesses in this altruistic way - well done and keep up the good work!

Went to Morrisons earlier and was given a free loaf of bread!2

I have just watched the news, they were at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The Chelsea Pensioners were standing 6ft apart and raised their hats to cheer the NHS workers and care workers. It brought a little tear to my eye.4

I know this is not really random but received possibly the last Tesco delivery I will ever have in my lifetime today, booked 3 weeks ago and the driver was an absolute star. Cheerful in a genuine way, not this forced, fake, holiday camp stuff I keep finding on the telly. Friendly, professional and positive. I tried to offer him a tip (at arm's length, of course) and he refused it with a smile, saying, "I get paid." There are some genuinely decent people out there.
Our local store, which I have never been very impressed with before, is really stepping up and people just seem to be nicer to each other, certainly more appreciative. I am now a little less afraid of shopping there as there are no slots available from any of the supermarkets which deliver to my area.
I hope everyone is staying well and keeping their spirits up.7 -
Our local pub gave out free fish and chips the other day to everyone in the village - 115 fish suppers apparently - all delivered by their kids (at arms length). So kudos to the Allanton Inn (do pop in if you're ever in the area after the virus has retreated).

I've got into the habit of clapping delivery drivers, carers when I am out walking, yesterday I was really lucky shopping and grabbed one of only four on the shelf large sacks of pasta. When I dropped it off to a family I know with 6 kids all self isolating, a delivery driver I must have clapped at some point saw me and clapped me back.
Its the little things eh? If you want to be rich, never, ever have kids

I dug up over a dozen pink hyacinths because i personally dont like them, but i potted them up and left them at the end of the drive, made a big sign on the back of some old wallpaper to sat Free help yourself, and they all went. Mowed the next door neighbours lawn as her grass was like a jungle and there was no sign of her gardener coming. I dont know how my mower tackled it really, but it did! Was at the greengrocers getting veg and the daffs were three bunches for £1, so i played knock and run on three elderly neighbours doorsteps with them. Ive got spider plants and succulents that need cuttings potting up, no pots left right now but im saving empty yogurt pots and will leave the plants at the top of the drive too. Added bonus im getting things sorted in the conservatory and garden

Having been confined to working from home was able to make a small profit on a share trade. Asked wife if she knew anyone really struggling due to what’s happening. A hard working self employed family lady whose services my wife uses has lost her ability to earn. We were able to anonymously help out with some cash in a card through her letterbox thanks to our little windfall.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 55
