CEL Letter before action

Hi all, I have read everything on the Newbies pages. I received a LBA today and was looking to contact CEL to get an email address to forward an SAR. They have nothing listed for emails, and the Tel number goes straight to a payment option. I decided to use the appeal button, hoping I might get an email back, but after entering the details and vague reason for appeal, the screen returned the message ' your appeal has been successful '.  I can only assume it is what they say it is?

Civil Enforcement's Privacy Policy webpage - https://www.ce-service.co.uk/privacy-policy/ - has the email address of their Data Protection Officer.

Thank you, apologies I didn't see it in there. I am hoping the appeal has worked going by the response? I wasn't expecting a reply at all to be honest.

THere has never, to my knowledge, EVER been an automated "success" page. Think about it - there cant be one. Are you sure it said EXACTLY that, and not jus thtat you have succesfully SUBMITTED yuor appeal?

The wording they used is ' Your appeal has been successful ' in large bold type. Underneath they state the PCN number and date and time of appeal.  I have printed it off as it surprised me!

Can you go on to their website as if to pay, and it will say either there is nothing to pay of the PCN cannot be found or is cancelled?

Wow, it really DOES say that!  haha!  There is no ambiguity there at all.

I reckon CEL have a mole who has done that for revenge and it is hilarious!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
