We have November flights from MIA to LGW booked and paid, that schedule has been withdrawn and is no longer available to book on the website but no "official" cancellation message received yet. As we have decided to leave at least another 12 months to elapse before attempting long haul Airpoints would not be an option0 -
Hi guys, I just checked my bank and Norwegian HAS refunded me in full, I had an email last week saying the refund is on its way, checked today and all is paid back in full. Good luck everyone2

I'm also due to fly with Norwegian. I'm flying to Oslo on 16/06 and returning from Bergen on 26/06. On the day I return to the UK, is flying on internal flights to my uncle and aunts (Bergen/Oslo/Bodo) and then returning on 06/07 (Bodo/Bergen/Gatwick). I have tried asking Norwegian when my flights will be cancelled, but all they say is 'tour flights are still active'. My concern is that they won't cancel mum's internal flights and that she will therefore not be eligible for anything - they've already said in the Ts and Cs that the cash points offer isn't open to domestic flights0

Hi, we were meant to be flying to Los Angeles on August 6th 2020 with Lawfare flights, but have only been offered cash points at the moment, which I don't want to take due to the situation that Norwegian Air are in with their company, bailout and reduced flights.
If you look for flights to Los Angeles with Norwegian Air for August and onwards you can still book, which I think is crazy in the current climate.
Anyone else flying later this year? have you heard anything different? Thanks0 -

Lowfare flights to NY end of August.
All news says all but domestic flights grounded until 2021.
So 100% sure we will not be travelling.
Yet Norwegian havent cancelled the flight and are still selling tickets for it.
Think they are trying to grab for the cash for as long as they can to avoid running out of cash and will likely cancel it a few days before?
Really annoying though as hadnt booked hotel or anything else before Corona arrived, so need to keep thousands in the holiday fund just in case in August they are flying or risk losing £900 if flights go ahead.
Got travel insurance that includes airline failure and paid on a credit card so actually feel like I would have more chance of seeing the money if they go bust.

I’ve been worrying as we’re due to fly to Chicago in September. We’ve had the email offering us cash points but I’m
concerned about the following:
a) what happens if I leave things & they still fly but it looks like husband is going to be made redundant so we can’t afford the holiday?
b) what happens if I accept the cash points but they decide to pull out of Gatwick? It means we’d be stuck with the points and not bale to use them.
c) the tickets are Lowfare so we can’t cancel them before hand.

I wouldnt accept the cashpoints as you may lose them if they go bust.
If you see below from the FT, they are saying they wont fly, so odds on they should cancel at some point and fully refund us, if they dont go bust
Norwegian Air Shuttle has warned that the bulk of its fleet is likely to remain grounded for the next 12 months and that a full recovery would not take place until 2022, laying bare the scale of the crisis engulfing the airline industry. As part of a planned $1.2bn debt-for-equity swap to try to ensure the low-cost airline’s survival, Norwegian said on Monday that its base case was that its fleet would remain fully grounded until April 2021, apart from the seven aircraft currently flying in Norway. It would then begin a gradual ramp-up of both its European short-haul and long-haul operations to the US and Asia over the rest of 2021 before normal activity returns in January 2022.

A) have you checked your travel insurance, as change of circumstances/redundancy may be covered, but it will depend on the terms of the policy
b) cash Points is stored credit, you can use it on any route so wouldn’t have a case for them pulling out of Gatwick
c) if they cancel the flight you’ll be entitled to a cash refund (unless legislation changes)
i think you’re better off holding out and hoping that Norwegian cancel the flight and if not evaluate the options closer to the time as the situation is still very fluid.
as an Update to my previous post I’ve now received an email for one of my refund requests that they will be processing as soon as possible. This was requested on 2/4 for a flight which was cancelled back when Covid was a minor story from a city no one had really heard of. Wish I hadn’t sat on the fence deciding what to do for so long. Point being it seems to be in order or refund request date rather than date of flight/ cancellation as I’m still waiting for the refund on the outbound flight which was cancelled more recently due to the current situation.Save £12k in 2019 #361 -
Had an email last night to tell me that all my ticket refunds are now being processed and the full refund will be returned as soon as possible. Going by other comments I hope that should hit my account in around a week. I submitted my refund claim on 31st March for LGW-JFK return tickets 16th April and 22nd April.0
