Norwegian Air/CashPoints or refund?

OSLO (Reuters) - Norwegian Air shareholders backed its financial survival plan on Monday, with more than 95% of votes cast supporting the conversion of nearly $1 billion (805.15 million pounds)of debt into equity and raising more cash from its owners.

The approval follows weeks of negotiations with creditors, while thousands of Norwegian's pilots and cabin crew were being laid off. The rescue deal prepares the ground for a relaunch of the company in a scaled-down version when the coronavirus crisis subsides.

Got my refund today from Norwegian, didn't get a confirmation email but it has been refunded in full. Good luck to all who are still waiting.

I'm one of many others that are still waiting, but encouraged to hear that some refunds are coming through. I submitted mine on 31st March and would be interested to know if anyone that requested their refund request on or after that date has been successful. Just been in touch with Norwegian who said the same "you are in a queue, but we can't give a timeline". Thanks

I have applied on 20th march, had a confirmation early april but nothing back since then.
Doesn't look like they are strictly doing it to 'first come first served' as they claim!
will give it this week then start to chase them up i think

It appears to be linked to the date of travel, not the date you requested a refund. Good to see one airline that recognises its legal obligations and pays despite all its issues

yes my flight was from april 01st so hopefully may hear something next week!

emailed me today confirming full refund to bank shortly in progress
not actually received yet but that should be case closed

Submitted refund claims on 2/4/20 and 4/5/20 for flights in June...got the auto response confirmation.  Twitter team still giving the same generic non response on when to expect refund to be processed.

Has anyone submitted a refund claim yet for flights later in the winter period?
We have November flights from MIA to LGW booked and paid, that schedule has been withdrawn and is no longer available to book on the website but no "official" cancellation message received yet.  As we have decided to leave at least another 12 months to elapse before attempting long haul Airpoints would not be an option

From what I understand, if you decide to not travel before any official communication then it is classed as a disinclination to travel so unless your tickets are refundable you would not get your money back. Have you spoken to them yet? They were helpful-ish when I called them a while ago. They are still working their way through cancellations from the last couple of months so I doubt travel in November would even be looked at yet. It's been 2 months since I submitted a claim and a month and a half since I should have travelled and I'm still waiting.
