Thanks for your help - I take ibprofen (OTC) as I was prescribed it for RA; now it's just as and when. So I will try parrots/aspirin if I need to.
I'll be wfh from Monday - uploading e-learning tasks. Working Fridays though, in the office as we have to be open for children of keyworkers I think.
I saw someone's food stash on FB yesterday - must have been 100 bottles of cooking oil! Why?
Crazy times.

Not quite in yet - work is getting their last drops of blood out of us all before the shutdown. Well, not those 20 who are already off sick. The 675% increase in daily student absences from the normal baseline is slightly concerning alarming as some of them will be genuine and not just parental anxiety. But not enough to send us old, fat, up-duffed or malfunctioning ones home before the Government orders it.
However, having singlehandedly dealt with every temperature, cougher, puker, fainter, panicker, self immolator (Food Tech were subsequently banned from practical activities after the fifth in three days) and lead swinger (how I didn't murderise that one, God only knows - she deliberately pretended to cough over me to get me to sign her out of her Maths lesson) - for weeks, I'm now feeling a little wheezy.
I don't have asthma.
I might not be going in tomorrow or Friday, depending upon how I feel in the morning - no cough, no temperature - but I don't feel right.
Himself has been told when they shut down (having lost all his 2nd job work now), he'll get his basic. 17 hours. And shutdown is scheduled for the end of next week - more like this Friday, I suspect.
The freezer is filled to the brim with inedible crud various ding dinners that he thinks constitute food. No frozen veg, No plain meat. The fridge is empty, other than out of date pork pies, Humira (no sign of my next delivery, strangely), milk he's left out overnight so many times, it's gone off and !!!!!! all else. He was quite perturbed when I informed him that he was going out and not coming back until he had acquired some ingredients, as I'm sick of never, ever, ever being able to go into the kitchen and make something to eat without having to go round the shop for something. Even toast is impossible. And there were two teabags left. This was apparently enough, along with a quarter of a can of cat food, as, evidently, the shelves of all the local small supermarkets being empty still meant that nobody was going to go into the independent supermarkets to buy their toilet rolls, bread, butter, non curdled milk, cat food, potatoes or paracetamol, so he'd 'get around to it as we need things and not before'.
I've seen a packet of bananas on the countertop. There had better be more than that out there.
In any case, imminent expiry notwithstanding, if I'm going to be trapped in the house for three months, the house is going to be sparkling - or I will be needing ways to clean surfaces and relay patio slabs so nobody can tell they've been lifted and a large space been dug underneath.

We have gardening projects planned.. I am moving the old bath into the garden and we are growing vegetables I think.. or just digging in dirt.. it's fun any way! That can be OH's input into their learning. He is also on maths duty. Between the two of us we can do this easy peasy.
I have 2 at college in charge of their own leaning until 20th April at least and Boog has been signed off work for the forseeable.. he needs to speak to the diabetes nurse and see what that means for his financial situation.

Went for a run. Put hay fever eye drops in.
One load through dw and other bits washed up.
Put petrol in car on the way to uni. Swabbed desk down as it's shared, wiped keyboard and gave student a precious squirt of hand gel before she touched my things. Complex assessment- elements of dyspraxia, ADD and AS. Took ages and will be even longer to write up. Rushed home as I had a training webinar booked for 7pm. Luckily I can access it over 3 days.
Mr N and I did an inventory of food cupboards and freezer as there is a huge Mr T near uni which I plan to visit after uni tomorrow.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Good evening
Well, that is me basically out of work for the foreseeable 😥 I believe I will still receive funding (7 hours at £4.24 and 15 hours at the higher rate of £5.20). I also look after 1 little boy whose mum is a midwife for 13 hours per week at my hourly rate of £5. Better than nothing I guess. I don't think I can expect parents to pay me while I am closed 😥 It is going to be very quiet around here, but the dog will be relieved! 😂
On the positive side - lots of jobs around the house and garden can be done. I have no excuse for getting behind (hmmm - I'm sure I will find some! Procrastination is my middle name!!!) I might even find time for some creativity 😊
Flying today - WULTD, emptied DW, 2 wash loads, cooked dinner & cleaned up after, and a few shops visited for odd and ends. I also started de-greening the patio.
See you all tomorrow. Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them. We've got this! 😊8 -
supplies bought for breadmaking. I have a kenwood so just a case of sling it in and flick a switch.. I used to have a breadmaker but hated the hole in the bottom of the bread.. no more holes! According to the media grapevine a full lockdown is going to be announced within the next week.. I WILL be organised.. I have a weekly tesco delivery for the next 5 mondays.. just change order the day before for the stuff I actually need and hopefully we will be sorted-ish.

OH working 9:30am-approx. 11pm tomorrow..
Notes squiggled for school teachers.. I requested Dots spellings and Squeak extra library books and I need a laminator for Twinkle some reusable worksheets.. though I have just put them in plastic sleeves before and used those.
We have been told to 'walk the children round the block' and do youtube exercise videos.. hahaha.. hilarious!
There is an email for homeschool enquiries and a mobile number so I guess we might get somewhere with those.

Sorry to hear that your new home is in the balance, kazwookie. Fingers crossed for you!
I took my car in for its service and MOT this morning. Late afternoon I got a phonecall saying it had passed its MOT but needed new front brake pads, so they have kept the car overnight and will finish the job tomorrow morning. I will need the car if I have to go in to work (and that will almost certainly happen at some point) and I want it to be safe.
I have spent most of the rest of the day setting up mailing lists and making a few phonecalls. I also took Rosie for her walk, did WMx2, and decluttered a few zzz.
See you tomorrow - oh, that will be later today now9 -
Morning all, off to work in a minute, it's going to be an emotional couple of days. Wm is on. Hugs to all especially Kaz xx9

Morning allNormal work day for me today, I know I have a lot to be grateful for at the moment, working from home and knowing that I don’t have any disruption to routine or finances. My thoughts are with all who aren’t so fortunate.
Government guidance being as clear as ever (!!!) DH has gone off to work, at least he doesn’t have to use public transport so that is one bonus.
Flying related... dailies done and wm is swishing. I have some phone calls to make today so will get on to those at lunch time.
have a good day all, hugs etc to those in need xx8 -
Bonjour all,
I guess you're all in a bit of shock and feeling rather anxious. But BREATHE and SMILE. Anxiety certainly brings out the worst in people so be prepared for it. It certainly did here, things are now starting to settle down particularly out in the sticks but had a few days of hell.
So sparkling organised homes are on the agenda!
Bed made, clothes picked up

DW unloaded
Online shop done which I collect tomorrow, it will be interesting to see if any of it is available by tomorrow. Otherwise I will have to go into the supermarket to try and find a few necessary bits.
Stay calm, safe and well
