excellent.. the job I almost killed myself getting Boog she has been banned from doing ANY factory work due to the high number of hypos and the alleged current infection risk.
I need her to have more than £200 a month income.. I cannot deal with this! I was anxious about her getting ill there though so I can chill about that now.. I KNOW she doesn't need to be told to self isolate she is agoraphobic!!
Twinkle is not a happy pickle.. thankfully I am efficient and had eye drops in the fridge but I need a gallon of calpol.. I may have to speak to the drs surgery because I can't buy it in enough quantity that if any more than 5 of us were to be ill at once I couldn't buy enough to keep everyone medicated! We are 11!!
Boog needs glucagon, we need calpol 6+, under 6 and adult cold and flu meds. I need to dig out my thermometers and make sure the batteries are working.
I don't know if everyone has seen but ibuprofen is advised against for covid.. due to it causing and increase in the risks of secondary infection.. I need to triple check those referrences but for the time being do make sure you are careful.
I need to check precription dates and I have JUST squeezed Moomin into drs tomorrow.

NHS saying hold fire on ibuprofen for now and stick with paracetamol just in case, not enough evidence yet. So painful night will ensue.....
Work office closed for a month as two cases. Those who can work from home are, so I'll be busy tomorrow.
Cannot think of anything to say about flying.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Evening. Got tyre sorted today, decluttering more cash to stay on the road. Did a few bits of listy, but not much. Got half a car full of recycling/donations done and sorted
Got my roots done, so I'm looking more presentable. So tomorrow I will tackle listy with new energy.but today the black.dog has wrestled with me, and I am more than a little worn out.
Hugs, sticks and spoons all round xxxThe cold never bothered me anyway8 -
Long stressful day juggling work and hospital for DS. Managed to get one of the only online grocery shopping slots before the end of the month but just get an error message when I try to check out. I guess this is because so many people are using the website. We do have some supplies in but its worrying because local supermarkets empty as fast as they receive deliveries. I also don't really want to go out and shop because DS is very vulnerable. Lets hope things calm down soon. Have somehow managed to keep the house reasonably clean and tidy. Oh well, I think I am with you asb, alcohol may be the answer to all this madness.10

Evening all,
Not a bad flying day. I even took a walk to the allotment and brought back 2 bags of rubbish that had been waiting there since last summer. I think it is the first walk I have had this year, apart from dashing round work and / or supermarkets. One load of towels got blown dry on the line - no sun but enough gusts to achieve the aim. Kitchen, utility and ensuite floors swept and mopped. An hour spent in the garden pulling out ivy.
I picked up DD after school. The shelves in the Mr W were bare in lots of places. Lots of cake though. Perhaps it is only me who thinks they could live on cake after all.
Valli - DSiL works for the NHS and sent us all a warning that they had been given today to avoid ibuprofen, both tablets and the rub on. HTH.
DH is into work tomorrow morning then is wfh until further notice. I’m in tomorrow to get the salaries sorted for everyone, then who knows.9 -
Valli said:Piggers as I am pulled out with it (local speak for being busy) would appreciate info w=verifying/otherwise on ibuprofen.it seems to be advice from France who have for a long while been looking into how NSAIDS work with infections from what I can find out.. nothing from our or any other health spokesperson. There are some people who react really badly to ibuprofen anyway... ah....WHO half an hour ago... https://www.rawstory.com/2020/03/avoid-taking-ibuprofen-for-covid-19-symptoms-who/ .. WHO are saying it may worsen covid symptoms but they aren't 100% convinced.. the manufacturer of ibuprofen is saying it doesn't,, but I think they may have sales on their mind rather than health matters. Nothing is 100% known right now. it appears.
The warning by French Health Minister Olivier Veran followed a recent study in The Lancet medical journal that hypothesised that an enzyme boosted by anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen could facilitate and worsen COVID-19 infections.
Asked about the study, WHO spokesman Christian Lindmeier told reporters in Geneva the UN health agency’s experts were “looking into this to give further guidance.”
Nothing concrete.. this might not be helpful information. If it is prescribed it is 'up to you' if you use it.. I use it almost daily I wouldn't be able to walk if I didn't.. hmm... best not get ill then! Simples!
BBc news pages..There has been no research into ibuprofen and the new coronavirus (Covid-19).
But there has been some for other respiratory infections, suggesting ibuprofen is linked to more complications and more severe illness - although we don't know that the ibuprofen itself is causing this, according to Paul Little, a professor of primary care research at University of Southampton.
Some experts believe that ibuprofen's anti-inflammatory properties may affect the body's immune response.
Prof Parastou Donyai at the University of Reading says: "There are many studies that suggest ibuprofen use during a respiratory infection can result in worsening of the disease or other complications
Well I'm as confused as they appear to be.. so there is evidence that ibuprofen MAY affect the immune response but nothing is certain and you should take medication prescribed.
I have seen a few studies on this now and they have all come back as inconclusive so the only conclusion is that some people it is an issue but the majority it is not.. and to use paracetamol in the first instance..
Well, I am taking mine.. I need to function I have a million people to look after ! I find all this really fascinating though.. how different people react differently to the same thing.. allergies etc.. too many mays and mights to be sure.
Anywya.. I have a bag of bread, pies, sugar and teabags to take to my mothers to be distributed amongst the bare cupboards of our family.
I have bought 5L of hand sanitiser and 10L disinfectant... none is for me.. lol.. My stepdad needs sanitiser for his stoma and disinfectant for dog pee floors...
Off to put one the dishwasher before my house devolves into worse squalor than it is already!I have done a click and collect order for the 30th March.. hoping we have some money by then!
3 people who OH works with have been sent home.. 2 permanently onto maternity leave and 1 due to medication.. that leaves 5 kitchen staff.I am so incredibly fed up of all this already. If alcohol is the answer I may go to the pub with my mother and all the old codgers who are supposed to be hidden away at home lol.
