ASB thank you, I have my fingers crossed, I have spent weeks making plans to ensure the move goes to plan, the smaller vans are loaded, we drive early tomorrow morning to a lock up else where in the country, we have full tanks of diesel, just made sandwiches etc in case the cafe we stop off at is closed, my helpers at the other end say they are turning up (thank goodness) so that is tomorrow sorted, then on Saturday, do the same sort of trip again with the cat & motorbike, must check tomorrow that the cattery will still take the cat or I am really stuffed. Later this week the main removal company is coming to requote he wants £££££.......................then with a date to take the rest of the stuff next week..........then we move in to rental and sit and wait for the next house .....................and breatheI have hoovered as I can see the carpets again!
all the bins full yet again, I hope the bin operatives are still going to work.

I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you, Kaz.
No flying to report beyond one load of washing (home too late to make any use of that sunshine), a dinner cooked, and the dw set to run. Work has been stupid busy as we try to form a makeshift rota to keep going for as long as possible. It’s all hands to the deck as it’s such a small company...I am classed as ‘critical’, yet am on a zero hours contract...money is about to get a whole lot tighter. DH is likely to be working at home after tomorrow.
Tomorrow I am off - Lunch out with a friend cancelled, flying plans to be made. I’m hoping to get a look-in at some of the sunshine, as it looked lovely today from through the office window.8 -
Evening.... reporting in.....the virus that shall remain nameless has had me on the phone for most of the day, before Bojo made his speech tonight. Keep on keeping on everyone, we're all here to support each other.
We had a lovely weekend with our visiting friends, 2 long walks (in lieu of the dance which had been cancelled) and rather too much food so we have enough to make meals for a few days.
Had long chat with elderly neighbour this morning while I was hanging out washing, was pleased to see her to make sure she knew we could do any shopping etc if needs be.
Went to the gym.
Impressed to see refund from our planned bike trip which was cancelled on Saturday, money was in the bank late Sunday.
Did more of a report. Still unclear whether I'm doing assessments this week; most of uni seems to be advised to work from home which would at least give me time to write up the ones I've done, but of course no work no money.
Finally caught up with my brother after leaving messages. He's in a far worse situation than me, also self-employed, but most of his work is in France or Italy so 3 jobs have been cancelled so far and lots more to come. His MIL is also in her last few days which is sad, especially in these difficult 'virus' situations. Mr N visited his mum today and will probably do so tomorrow as they are stopping all visitors from tomorrow eve.
I went through Mr T as usual on my way back from drum lesson and it was pretty devoid of most things - I don't know what people are playing at, all this panic. The staff were pretty bemused by people's attitude.
We've now all got to decide what classes as 'essential' travel. We were due to visit my mum in 2 weeks, have theatre tickets booked (no chance) and a restaurant (ditto) but I think for her mental well-being and the chance of taking her shopping (or doing it here and taking it to her) would be good. She's pretty stoic but will feel very bereft if she can't go to her usual U3A classes, bus trips etc.
House is pretty tidy after Friday's pre-visitor blitz.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Tesco bought.. going to send OH to Lidl tomorrow to see if an early morning trip will yield fusilli.. Dot has eaten 2 bowls of cereal and an apple today... She is a blooming nightmare! She has big sensory issues with food but would happily lick a wheelie bin and bite her toenails! He can get frozen veg and some bread while he is there and newborn nappies because DD1 hasn't bought any yet. I got the last 2 jars of jam.. they were rolled along the shelf so hidden behind the honey.. Twinkle will eat again! I got 4 quorn roasts for DD1.. it is all she can eat at the moment and i am on medication collections.. My mother said she is going to the pub, if she dies, she dies.. It isn't even worth trying to have a reasonable conversation they would have to close the pub and lock her in her house.. She would go if she was the only one there!
I got more weird looks for having a coughing fit at the till than the guy who was clealy physically disabled and walking with his legs crossed like he needed a wee.. seriously... I coughed... doesn't everyone have hayfever and occasionally choke on their own saliva? (I do it a lot, I'm pretty special and it always results in a massive wheezing fit)
University just closed their close contact interactions and moved to online teaching.. no seminars, labs, 1-2-1 sessions, classes... and when I posted it on the local community group a lecturer told me they weren't closed.. I just put the post up, it was in the paper with university links to confirm.. so he got blocked then his muppet mate joined in so he was told to take a hike and the students next door are having a 'yay no lectures' party!! .. a quiet affair but a party non-the-less.. you just have to roll your eyes at some people.
Best go put away this laundry so we can sleep!
OH can put kittens to bed! thats always good for a laugh.

Morning all. Family visits cancelled here as well as meetings etc. DD says she'll post my Mother's Day pressie. Much prepping to be able to not have too much contact in the house as DH is in food retail and I'm in the vulnerable category.
Today, I will fly, take the dogs for a walk and garden.Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all,
Didn't sleep too well, lots more staff off and so today is going to be manic again. How many places can I be in at once?! DW about to go on, bin out, we are almost ready to go. Back later have lovely days all xx9 -
Morning all,
Another one who didn’t sleep well again. DD wants me to pick her up after school, which does mean that she doesn’t get the public bus, but doesn’t help my fuel economy. I’ll see if I can get some bread then, as we have run out. DW emptied from last night and wm running. Lunch out cancelled. Theatre visit tomorrow night ditto.
Ensuite clean is on the list today, and I guess the kitchen ought to feature as well.
Have a lovely day all.8 -
All handles, switches and sockets wiped. Having breakfast now.Spend less now, work less later.8

As such, all students are giddy, awaiting a closure and seemingly incapable of concentrating.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
