Morning all
Must make an effort to be more active, being confined makes it tempting to sit and watch favorite tv junk whilst thinking I've got loads of time to get this house sorted! Need to keep an eye on my steps, as they definitely drop when I don't go to work.
So far today
Pellet stove cleaned and reloaded
Pulled all the outstanding bank statements and payslips out of the 'tray' and filed them.
Bed made
Forecast is good for this week so will try and force myself to do something in the garden each afternoon. We have a huge garden that is overgrown so plenty to keep me busy. Biggest challenge is knowing where to start.
Off to put WM on, eat breakfast then HHI

After yesterday morning's rage cleaning I carried on for the rest of the day and cleared my desk and most of the pile of paperwork on the filing cabinet. Things are looking up - in here at least. I hope today will be another MAD day
My exercise class for "active seniors" and most of my church work activities have been cancelled for the foreseeable future, but Sunday working will continue for the time being, and numerous phonecalls will be made daily. Church is there for the whole community - not just regular members of the congregation but everyone in the parish who needs us.
Sitting here at the computer, I look out onto a lane frequented by lots of dogs and their walkers (Rosie and I use it too, of course!) so I can wave to people as they go by. Just got a cheery response from one of my lovely neighbours and his dog. Every smile helps!
(((Hugs))) to all - keep safe xxx8 -

Morning (waves)
I didn't sleep well either. Wretched throat kept me awake despite taking painkillers, and then I started to coughOh joy. I'm so glad that I'm on Annual Leave and don't have to 'officially' self-isolate. I've cancelled lunch with L tomorrow, and I'll text H and tell her I won't be visiting her for coffee on Thursday. I'm quite happy staying at home - I just wish I felt well enough to enjoy it. Lots to be grateful for though - so my pecker is up
You lovely ladies are on my list of 'reasons to be cheerful
I've made my bed. And through the day I'll:
get washed and dressed
WUDUPA - didn't do it yesterday, but didn't add any pots either (who needs plates when pizza comes on a cardboard base)
feed the birds
put out the recycling (pizza boxes- thank goodness for Mr C00p and his deals)
laundry shuffle
if there's a WM load I'll swish it
Just tried my voice with Sweetie - it's not working. Luckily I can still whistleMy appetite has come back though - now if only swallowing wasn't such a pain.(oh toot - I can't work out how to shrink the font to type 'walks away scratching butt and muttering to self
)
Look after yourselves ladies
Rxx

Morning all, I'm coming out of lurkdom, for the forseable future, as we've had the news that as of the weekend my Dave has to go in self isolation for 12 weeks.. (he's one of the vulnerable groups due to having no immune system) Poor lamb he already got told to work from home by the bank as they had put major contigency plans into place last week. He was hoping to go back before end of May as he is retiring then, but sadly it looks like he may have to miss that and have a little retirement dinner here at home. I'm one of those with asthma and diabetes that looks like I'll have to self isolate with him, I'm going to go mad as this will set my mental health off big time. The washing hands has already brought back my OCD with washing hands. Still I suppose that while we are isolated a lot of stuff can get done, thankfully the weather is starting to improve.
We've also got to try and sort the house out ready to go up for sale after September...
Thankfully our holiday cottage is in the middle of nowhere so we will still be able to go on holiday in September, if this isolation stays around till then. That will be a blessing for Dave I know.
Oooh that reminds me I need to get petrol today
I'm going to pop up my little list to keep me motivated today...
Natty's List
Change bedding
Meds
Get showered/dressed
Clean kitchen sink/drainer
Wipe kitchen unit fronts
Clean worktops down
Sweep kitchen floor
Wipe over kitchen floor
Dust living room thoroughly
Put clean fleece blankets on dog bed/sofa
Change cat tray
Put clean washing, waiting to be ironed, in new storage box
Tidy up stuff behind living room chair
Change bathroom mat
Change bathroom towels
Untangle washing line after it got blown out of its spike during high winds the other week.
Hang wet washing outside
Iron outfit for today
White wash load
Make apricot meatballs
Cook tea for tonight
Take Trevor back home
Huge hugs to everyone that is feeling unwell.

GWS vibes for you, round x
Towel wash just finishing, ensuite has had the full flylady treatment, just the floor to tick off after my cuppa.
Bathroom has had a s&s. I took the bleach and a toothbrush to the window frames in the ensuite - looked so much better that I then tackled DD’s windows too. Reasons to be cheerful - I have had my fingers in the bleach and better still, while I was poking window frames, I have seen the blue t!ts making their way back to the nesting box.8 -
Been a busy bee this morning, although I am flagging at the moment..lol
Had a long chat with DH about his retiring in May. Due to the situation with this self isolation for 12 weeks that he has to do he has now decided to put off retiring till September. Mainly because he wouldn't get a part time job after May so he may as well stay employed by a company that is prepared to carry on paying him to work at home. Who.knows they may even give him a retirement package.. Thank gods he didnt put the letter into HR yet...Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

I did a post and someone nicked it... BAH!!
A friend has started a #dearcovid so we can find the positives in all this madness. The challenge is to find something to be thankful for. We have enough stress and palava going on looking at the silver linings and rainbows and the things which make us happy.
I have done 2 shop runs.. and posted an ebeast parcel.bought bread and hotdogs and tuna and half killed myself carrying it all back.
I haven't hung out the washing... I fail at life again hahaha

Fluttering along slowly here, could and should be doing so much more but still trying to get my head round this confinement lark. I have my authorisations printed in case I need to go to food shop or pharmacy. Enough food in the house for about a week so will try and do an order to pick up at the end of the week or next.
WM on again
HHI again
Dinner for tonight sorted
Cleaned the inside of a couple of windows
Bed made and clothes picked up
But looking on the bright side, I can't go out and spend money. I'm on 84% salary from one job and 0 from the other but will catch those hours up when we go back to work and I'm in a very privelidged position that we don't need it to live day to day. I know that for many people that is not the case. I have offered my online teaching hours (if the student agrees to do it online) to my young collleague who is in a very different situation (and has a much better grasp of technology than me and is already doing a few online lessons)
Sneaking off to watch crap tv show I enjoy.
SMILE, and stay safe
