Checking back.....degibbled LR floor, hoovered through all downstairs. Cleaned cats piece of carpet protectors as move to other side of DR. Got bit of lino out from garage, going to bring out my vegetable rack out of retirement, but into DR lino ( just in case of potato drips, as it's an unknown supplier). I am starting to enjoy an uncluttered kitchen (it's only 2m by 1.8m so I am incredibly limited on space) so it's good prep space only, my DR is now part pantry part DR.
Time for a brew and then another MAD half hourThe cold never bothered me anyway8 -

Just had a lunch time pause here as OH suddenly asked for lunch before his next call. Had a nice chat with DD1 who is a medical student but now in confinement so they will be well to work in a couple of weeks when things reach a peak. Unfortunately she has a tiny one room studio so being confined in it is hard work. She doesn't want to come home as is frightened she may be contagious as she's been working in the hospital and doesn't want to pass anything on to us even if we are not particularly high risk.
Carrying on in the bedroom, hanging part of 1 wardrobe emptied and cleaned and now sorting through the clothes.

Checking back in. I have been in the garden and trimmed the grass that I can see (old raised beds & fuchsia covering some of it). I then swept a section of patio in readiness for mr Al's version of patio magic to get rid of the green algae that grows every winter. I then got out the sprayer & filled it, but it doesn't work! So I am going to have to pop out to buy another one 😠
I am having a cuppa while I decide whether to pop into town mr Ws or to walk up the road to the independent hardware store. I'm not sure they will have one though...7 -
Kaz it is a stressful time with your move. My DD1 is due to move next Wednesday and I have told her to be prepared for it not to happen! It sounds like you are on top of it all. Good luck!

Goodi - I had a look at 111 and I was already doing the right things - painkillers. warm and cold drinks. ice lollies. I was ready to start gargling with salt and warm water today, but (fingers crossed) I think I am coming out the other side. Woot Woot. My throat is sore, but no longer excruciatingly so - I was having to work up the courage to swallow
- and I seem to be developing a wet cough as opposed to the dry cough I started off with. I'm not due to go back to work until next Wednesday - so there's no pressure there.
Thank you to everyone for your get well wishes. It means the world to me to have you all as friends
How is Twinkle today piggers? Did you find the quorn roasts I wonder? An imminent announcement about schools closing coming from the Government - just heard on the news.
Take care

No flying achieved, but just wanted to check in to say hugs all round.
DH now officially working at home. DD is at home as of this afternoon. I am still working, but now feeling slightly uneasy about it. Hopefully tomorrow will be the last day at job 2 tomorrow, as the school will presumably close on Friday.
Stay safe all. So glad that I have you all to keep me sane in the coming weeks. X7 -
Kids gutted, I'm gutted, my Year 11s will be gutted - but we keep calm and carry on. Flying hasn't happened today, must try harder tomorrow xx8
