SM.. we will all be fine.. think of this time as a wonderful time to enjy your children while they are small and you can be there to reassure and guide them and show them how to be resourceful and not allow them to be anxious.. I know I am going to have days where I want to murder everyone but I am going in strong with a love of learning and teaching and the enthusiasm to make a difference to my children. They will remember this summer forever.. they can remember how everyone lost their noodles and went wild or they can remember how we taught them and helped them and made fun things and most days enjoyable.. I'm going for the latter. If our grandparents/great-grandparents coped through wars and rationing and all that WITHOUT the luxury of the internet and social media we can do this with each others support..
To all... I am on FB and insta and EVERYTHING.. feel free to rage and yell and rant or applaud yourself for being AMAZING at any time.. day, night, 3am... anytime.. I am here... for all of you!!!
I've shopped myself to silliness.. bit short of bread but I have enough ingredients to make a squillion loaves.. I have fruit and potatoes and while we will need cat food regularly I have enough of most other things to last a week or two (bread and milk don't count I buy those daily!)
I have found my thermometers.. 1 needs new batteries but the other is fine.
I have honey and lemon and calpol and co-codamol (enough to sink a ship) and disinfectant and hand sanitiser (5L!) and we will all survive.. Does anyone even have time to be ill???
I am going to buy wallpaper in a few weeks and the girls and I are going to decorate the hallway.. they can strip and I will stick! I have tiling OH can do.. he WILL learn some vital skills if I have to have him at home too.. there is no sitting and doing nothing. We are using the old bath as a veg patch.. we have about 8 bags of compost and it will be educational and outdoor and fun for the children. We have garden activities to swap amongst the children and sand and bouncy castle and a paddling pool and I am going to source a wardrobe and fur coats and we are off to Narnia..
Right.. inspirational speech done.. I'm off to do some washing and maybe trek to the pub if I can find my mother! OH should be home soon too

I'm working tomorrow then, to please my mum and sister mainly, 'isolating' (asthma) - once I have been to B&Q for paint for the kitchen. And found some catfood...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Good evening 😁
Sorry I haven't been around today. I didnt achieve much again today.
I popped to the farm shop near my mum's. It was mobbed! I queued around the shop for about 45 minutes, but managed to get a few bits plus some compost and a bunch of tulips for mum. I then popped into her to give her mothers day presents - some broccoli, a cabbage, a bag of compost & a bunch of flowers! An odd mix, but she was happy 😂 It was weird leaving her, as I now need to keep a distance between us 😥 My brother & sister don't see her for months on end, but I see her at least weekly (they are not local). I could have cried on the way home!
Back home I took the dog out & then watched the PM (not much was said)
Flying - I changed the bedding & put it on a hot wash. DH has made the bed as I forgot 🤦♀️🤣
Round I'm glad you are feeling a bit better.
Paid stuff tomorrow - could be the last one for a while - not sure yet!
Night night all. Sleep well!7 -
Not a good night's sleep (busy brain) so really didn't feel up to gym this morning so bottled out.
Did a bit more of a report.
Had chat with my brother on phone and mum on line.
Did difficult assessment. Now have loads to write up. Not sure what next week will bring; I have 2 assessments booked but uni are gradually closing down most facilities and I refuse to assess in the car park!
Went to Mr T as planned. Flabbergasted. It is one of the biggest in the area but although I got 5 bananas there was no other fruit, no veg at all, no meat at all either in cooler or frozen, no fish other than 2 sides of salmon and one very expensive cod loin. I went to look at antihistamine and most medication shelves were empty - I didn't want paracetomol but there was none. No frozen veg. No tinned veg. I could go one. What I came back with, as well as the bananas, was some cheese, 1 gf loaf and 4 gf rolls, quite a bit of chocolate, some gf crispbread, a pack of pepperoni slices so I can make pizza and the last in the shop tin of refried beans (dented). Oh, and a card for MIL. It was absolutely surreal. I wasn't planning on getting more than 1 of anything and we still have food in the house, but really it was apocalyptic. So much for the mental debate/plan to have a good stock up next weekend to drive down to my mum. I can't imagine where people are putting everything they buy - are they all buying new freezers or something? Tomorrow I'm taking the car into another town for its MOT, garage is opposite another Mr T so I may wander across while it's being done in case I can get anything resembling protein.
Well done for all you have planned PigPen. As a non child owner, I'm finding it upsetting how many parents seem to be aghast at spending time with their children and how they are going to "entertain " them. I'm sure my mum never "entertained" me or my brother, we just played outside/did drawing/listened to music/read books/rode bikes. Everyone seems to be relying on lots of on-line stuff, which is laughable in my area with poor internet. I had an email from the music college today saying my drum lessons would be on line in the next few weeks - no chance, as the drums I practice on are in the chapel and the thought of finding any internet in there ..........I actually dislike phones, let alone Skype/FaceTime etc - why would I want to look at anyone or be looked at?
Keep smiling all. xRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning all
For those of you worrying about food, stop please. Here our schools shut 2 weeks ago and then we went into total shutdown, only food and chemists still open, you have to complete a form to say where you are going, police checking too. This led to panic buying, empty shelves, fights in shops. Now 1 week into shutdown things are getting better, no I couldn't get my favourite brand of coffee and bought organic oats but I'll get used to it (or give up coffee but that's not likelly), OH has to change brand of whisky but giving up would be better anyway. But there will be plenty of food available, maybe we are going to have change some of our eating habits but I am sure none of us are going to starve, once we've stopped sulking there's no more .............left .
Back to flying
Bed made, clothes picked up
WM on
Pellet stove cleaned and reloaded
Yesterday afternoon I sorted and cleaned one and a half wardrobes in our bedroom, so just half a wardrobe, table, chair and 2 bedside cabinets left to do. Hoping to finish sorting this morning, then I can clean it this afternoon. Off to pick up my food order after lunch.

Morning (waves)
Narc0 - a friend tried to buy a freezer for her son (he's coeliac and she is worried sick about him always, never mind now!) and she was told there isn't a new freezer in the country as they are all made in China and the supply stopped when China shutdown. But people must have gone out and bought every freezer that was already in the country.
Dad texted me to say he's been to the doctor (he must feel rough) and he's back on antibiotics for his breathing. I'm convinced concerned he will be a casualty of this pandemicMy brother has fallen down the stairs and damaged his neck and shoulder so is now on morphine. And he blithely texted me to say oh and 'the CT scan found a hole in my pelvis'! (where's the emoji with the blue hair when you need her!!!!) 'What sort of a hole?' sez I. 'Just a hole' he replied. JUST A HOLE!!! There are lots of reasons why you don't 'just' have a hole in your pelvis bone - but I can't think about that now.

Non-uniform for last day of school.. so they dressed themselves because I don't really care.. I have a cheshire cat, a unicorn and Squeak has a navy lace party dress, a white top under it & sparkly leggings. They look a right bonny sight!
OH's mum gave us some money to pay off the holiday (which is likely to be cancelled!) and I stocked up on actual food with it.. I had £38 this morning and OH needed £12.. We will survive.. cats might starve.. but we will be ok.. we WILL be ok.. more ebaying to kick off our summer holidays!! I will do that while the girls work.. we shall do this together. I am going to go speak to HMRC and the bank, see if they can help at all. On a plus I have paid off the gas and electric so I will stop those standing orders until the next bill goes in.
Playing laundry catch up today as it looks decent weather.. it's not raining!
Bread hunting today.. I have flour etc being delivered on Tuesday so can make my own but need some to last until then. OH at work 10:30 to close. and I have a nail fix at 10 (don't have to pay for those thankfully!!)
Have a wonderful day all..
Oh.. I realised in all the drama I haven't taken any of my meds since.. erm.. I can't remember.. maybe a week last Saturday.. might be 2 weeks.. Pain and hayfever meds I have.. but not the others.. shows how much difference they make doesn't it when I don't notice if I haven't taken them for 2 weeks!

Morning all, just finished cleaning the kitchen sink while waiting for the kettle to boil. I then decided to clear the sofa and put the gibble away in its proper place.
Then I started getting a tightness in my chest so out came the puffer, oh an worry in my head that is this how it starts? I've been getting a lot of panic attacks the past few days over this darn virus - what will happen to my furbabies if both me and DH are put into hospital , how would I cope if he died, how would I cope if he went into hospital... I think you can see a pattern, so no wonder I kept having panic attacks. Doesn't help my mental health is now going into overdrive..☹
I've been getting up at sparrow o'clock most mornings because I can't sleep. Thoughts start to intrude.
Went out with my good friend yesterday just for a quick mooch and got disheartened there was nothing in the shops. Came home and rooted around the freezer and came up with some sort of tea. DH are off to our local beach, Seasalter, which is normally deserted with the dog for a walk.
Must declutter the freezer of stuff and freeze the meat bought from the other day.
Hope everyone that is isolated isn't getting too much cabin fever..and you are coping ok.
Fingers crossed no-one goes down with this awful virus.
