I am pleased to say that my throat is much betterI now have a steaming headache and a chesty cough
I'm inclined to feel sorry for myself, but if Twinkle can soldier on, so can I. Bless her heart
Had a conversation with DS about the lockdown which feels imminent. I would like him to be here, and GF is welcome to lockdown with us if she would like to - GF works in a nursery so is expecting to be off work after tomorrow, depending on what measures are taken for the children of key workers. I'm due to go back to work on Wednesday - with things changing so quickly I don't know how that will pan out. I'll ask what the plan is on Tuesday! I don't have the energy to be anxious - every cloud and all that!
I need to keep some sort of framework in place to keep me sane whilst giving my body chance to fright this lurgie so flutter
Round 1 =

Wardrobe full of shelves of jumpers, scarves etc sorted and cleaned. Could really do with culling more, but taking it step by step
HHI done
Shoes at bottom of next wardrobe sorted, this is the last wardrobe in our bedroom. It won't take long to do as it has a box of handbags, box of ski stuff, the TV and a few bits and bobs. Really just needs a good clean and things putting away. Although I think it can wait until tomorrow as it's sunny so off to carry on reading my book in the garden.

All day drizzle really isn’t good for the soul.
Been to work - closure apparently doesn’t mean closure, so it’s back to work I go next week as usual. Until the music stops again.
DH and DD are both at home, and appear not to have come to blows whilst I was out. They are united in the face of the common enemy - me!
Flying before work was wm x 1and HHI. Flying since work has been s&s bathroom and ensuite, and wash hair (that counts, right?). The meal plan seems to have gone to pot, so I need to revisit that. Might do that now...9 -
Evening
work done
phone calls made
bathroom cleaned, just changed the shower curtain to a cheery red one that I bought on impulse a while ago, as I also have red towels I think it looks lovely in there now, so much brighter and cheerier!!Kitchen s/s done
en suite s/s done
hall stairs and landings hoovered
another one here who needs to look at the menu plan, I don’t want to be using the few tins and things that I bought just in case (no stockpile... I promise!!) but I suspect that next weeks menu may depend on what I can find in the shop!
off to do that now, then I’m going to sit down with my book.
take care and have a good evening all x7 -
I'm now on the two-week wonder, which has been followed up with a 'you can't come back to work anyhow' email, as the tightness in my chest has increased, so it wasn't merely anxiety as I had hoped.
Himself is on his last day at work for x months.
He sent me a message 'If you feel the urge to start cleaning, make a cup of tea and sit down again until it passes'. All well and good until I go to fill the kettle and all manner of horrors were lurking in the sink and peering out from underneath the dish drainer.
The sink and drainer are now very shiny. As is the upstairs bathroom sink.
In an effort to get some useful things in as he is clearly incapable of planning and execution, I tried going online.Groceries were an abject failure from all sites, but I have managed to get a bulk order of posh crunchies from the manufacturers for the cats to come next week which should cover 3-4 months, a pretty dress, some comfortable undies (as I am not spending three months with broken underwires sticking into my ribs just to work at the kitchen table) and, hopefully, if they haven't decided to not bother delivering such things, a new steam cleaner; the state of the place is so bad that I can't bear the idea of having to actively scrub every square inch of it whilst he minces about telling me that he'll slap a filthy cloth over one or two locations before getting bored and going back onto his laptop for the next eight hours do it .
Going to take all the crud off the countertops in a minute and scrub those as well.
At this present moment, I fear sepsis or salmonella more than I do coronavirus. And he should fear me. Not that I have the energy to do much right now, but I'm sure I can make an exception for somebody who still didn't buy any flaming cat food last night.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll9 -
Have been feeling extremely low for the past couple of days due to the schools closing (I actually cried on the way to pick up DS2 this afternoon when someone asked if I was ok), which was made worse when DH came home from work telling me that his job will be reducing his hours as they have no customers (his pay will also go down as a result). So he will be having reduced pay, and I'll have no pay at all at the moment. I suppose it's better than them laying him off completely which was my worry last night. Started to do an application for UC this afternoon, as I suspect that supply teachers will not be considered key workers as school should be able to cope with skeleton staff as they have reduced numbers. Need to get DH to do his one too as apparently as we're married he has to complete it as well. Hope I'm not going to find out tomorrow that there's a different system I need to use as the Government still haven't announced their packages they are providing. DH's work aren't being very helpful as they've said they'll be going down to 4 days, but won't tell him until Monday what those will be. If I knew which days I could potentially have childcare, I could apply for other jobs for the days he's home.Took out my frustrations by cleaning out the shopping bags with a scrubbing brush and dettol cleaner - couldn't believe how dirty they were, but saw a programme on TV the other day where they tested them, and I realised ours hadn't been done for a very long time. I think I need to do them again though as there are a few stains. *blushes* Also cleaned out George's tummy and let it dry so he can be ready for use as and when needed.DS2 has forest school tomorrow morning so I need to round up his wellies etc. There's going to be an awful lot of things to carry tomorrow on the way home if schools are sending extra things home with the children.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20178
