Sotts said:Thanks for this reassuring thread. I'm waiting for mortgage offer with a different lender. AIP received, 1/12, application done, searches all back, valuation completed 16/12, EWS provided 23/12. I feel much calmer having read these posts.
My husband has had a hard search on his credit file although he's not putting up any of the money and has no income. All I've had on my credit file is a soft search for money laundering. Will they be doing a hard search at some point, or it is more likely my credit file just hasn't updated yet.
Monday can't come quick enough for me when MB returns from his holiday 😁
Bluestone are a lot different to Kent Reliance and this thread is for people trying to obtain a mortgage from Bluestone only.
I'm sure there's a long running thread dedicated to Kent Reliance.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Yes I'm aware of that. Doesn't mean i cant thank people for the assurance as both lenders deal with adverse credit, although i didn't actually mention any lender. I'll take my thanks elsewhere. Happy new year to you

Bluestone are often the last lender available to people applying to them, KR are more open and the rates are a lot better. Therefore any hope you give to people isn't reassuring as they are different companies.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

No, they do a phone call before releasing funds and double check if anything has changed between application and that day, plus go over a few other details.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1

Buy a sofa when you get the keys. With lenders, especially adverse lenders, don't take on any credit, don't even use the credit cards just keep paying them down.
One member a few years ago had their mortgage offer pulled due to taking a loan for a few thousand pounds to buy a used car. They had exchanged contracts and then the offer was pulled, it was a mainstream lender.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Once you complete, no lender will do any further credit checks. I have never known that to happen in 9-10 years as a broker.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hi everyone. Happy new year.I am using Bluestone as I have a bad credit history. Defaults over 4 years old but also 4 pay day loans in 2019 and 1 in March 2020 (which I’m very upset with myself for taking out as I didn’t even need to! Idiot).Bluestone have done a soft search for us on Experian (identity check and mortgage quotation) on 21/12/2020. Our advisor says we have a “mortgage approved” but he doesn’t know the rates yet. We have put an offer in on a house which was accepted on 17/12/2020.
I went into my overdraft in October due to vets fees (which have been repaid via insurance the next month) and also in November by the same amount I moved into savings. Being naive I did not think about these things. Does anyone have any experience with using an overdraft affecting their application? Obviously this is all I can think about right now as we are in love with the house. Any advice would be very gratefully received!0
