Hi All,
Has anybody had any experience with desktop valuations? We have been informed that BS have already conducted a desktop valuation but now need and enhanced desktop valuation.........anybody know what's involved?

New to the thread and sharing our experience. As with others, we have been in the paperwork cycle of bank statements, wait a week, request something else etc. We had the DIP beginning November so assumed we would have an offer this side of xmas but no. I just wondered what peoples experiences of the packaging companies have been ? I had unwisely assumed that the packager would get everything right and then the submission would be a formality. The packager just seems to be a middle man whom you can't speak to directly who relays BS constant requests for further documents. Found out today, after waiting over a week they still wanted another statement that they had been sent a while back. Also found out today was the last day BS were working and are closed from tomorrow until 4th Jan.0

it was September when our full application was submitted and we still haven’t had our offer. Only just reached the stage where valuation has been instructed and they have said they are now happy to move forward. We are buying an older property in the NE so you can imagine the seller is getting very impatient and has threatened to re-market the house. So frustrating!!!0 -

Your broker may have different hours though.2

To be honest, both the broker and packager have been poor. I assumed the packager would have everything together so the submitting the application would be a formality. Half the stuff they have asked for I had already sent. Bank statements went twice but she still asked for them again. Very frustrated with the whole process now.

Hi ,
Our application was sent in on 18th December BS completed first initial underwrite today and they request some documents like ,phone bil account number and credit card statement, we send them straight away but now they are closed. Is this a good sign?

My broker got me to send over everything they will ask for in advance, 12 wage slips, banks statements, P60, rent payments , proof of deposit. She said getting all this submitted in advance will speed things up dramatically rather than waiting till they ask for it. That been said not heard anything back yet.0

The full application was submitted on Thu 17th with a Hard Search on my credit report conducted Sat 19th.
My mortgage broker/advisor is off to 11thand my solicitor has asked if it has passed initial vetting yet, as he is off until 11th he isn't around to check has anyone ever rang/emailed BlueStone for an update themselves?
