  • I did my insurance through direct line, asked them to note bluestone's interest and they sent me proof to forward to my solicitor (proof has to be sent), I also had to have the insurance in place before they would release the funds.

The phone call only takes a few minutes with bluestone checking a few things and saying a few things. If paying the arrangement fee and not adding it to the mortgage (only some allow the latter), get that done in readiness for the phone call.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • Insurance sorted this morning.... and now my solicitor has said I need a declaration of insolvency from my parents as deposit is gifted.... totally fed up and stress is through the roof doesn’t seem like we will be in on Thursday now. Although my solicitor said they applied for funds yesterday and doesn’t seem to think will be an issue, we will see, totally had enough!
  • please dont fret - if you can get it sorted all should be ok as applied for funds .. this is BS making sure the Certificate is Correct. I honestly went through this too.
Looking to remortgage December 2022 onto a better rate!
  • Thanks, I just feel totally stressed now as I feel like they’ e left it too late and everything is booked for Friday so if we’re delayed even by a day it totally messes everything up as everywhere is fully booked now!
    Praying for a miracle!
  • Just return that insolvency asap and ask you solicitor to contact BS re completion monies. We were in the exact same boat, movers booked, time off work etc. Good luck!!

  • Hi All,
    Quick update on our case
Had contact from our broker yesterday and hopefully we are at the end of the endless cycle of sending documents and waiting for them to review. We have been verbally told that BS are now satisfied and happy to move forward although we won't be celebrating until we have our mortgage offer lol. Also to note, they have changed our product from 2 year fixed to 5 year which actually now works out better for us. Hopefully valuation will be carried out with no issues and we can progress with the legal side
  • Hi I have submitted the full mortgage application now with bluestone , I notice a lot of the comments on here are saying you can monitor your application process to see what stage it is at? how do you go about this? I would like to keep an eye on how my application is progressing.
