Does anyone know how long it take bluestone to go the all ok with exchange , we have fulfilled every matter on the offer but feel this is another long progress and we supposed to complete on the 20th novemebr
Bluestone do not provide the confirmation that they are happy for you to exchange. Your solicitor will advise when you are ready. However your bluestone may have special conditions within your mortgage offer that your solicitor will need to satisfy before you can proceed to exchange. Your solicitor will need to ensure that they can satisfy the points before exchange as if they are not satisfied by the time you complete bluestone will not release the mortgage advance.
Bluestone can take 3-5 working days to review all solicitor correspondence.
    Hope this helps ☺️
@newhome235678 we’ve given everything to solicitor :) just waiting a response now
Have you received mortgage from bluestone ?
How long was it after you exchanged you completed
Yeh I have, I completed 6 months ago. Just before we went into the first lock down☺️.

I exchanged 2 months before I completed as I was waiting for my plot to be built. However normally you’ll have 5 working days between exchange and completion ☺️
  • I got my offer nearly 10 months ago.
Mortgage offer got extended, my solicitor requested funds and exchanged when they were received, the following morning my purchase was completed and I picked up the keys.

I've been in my home 6 months and it was all painless with bluestone, my broker works with them a lot and knows what they expect when submitting applications. Everything is gathered up, checked and double checked. I only had to provide one additional statement, which hadn't been produced by my bank at the time.

Things will be a lot easier for people now compared to when we were buying. Lenders, solicitors and brokers all have a routine working from home or doing a mix of office / home.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • Just an update that I completed and moved into our forever home last week. It feels like it came really quickly despite the waiting. Hang in there, it will come good in the end :)

I have received offer with Bluestone yesterday. Looking to apply for Building Insurance. I have read on this forum that Bluestone requires them to be named as 'Party with Interest' on Insurance. Please someone help me find an insurer whom you have used and Bluestone accepted. Thanks and regards

Looking to remortgage December 2022 onto a better rate!
  • So we had our offer on 28th October...which was so exciting to find out the offer was the wrong amount and they would need to change the offer...still waiting to be told they need to speak to the person who done the valuation to see if it’s worth the money 👀👀 anyone else had this?
So when we applied for the mortgage we were buying at £180,000 then we changed our offer to £170,000 due to certain finds! So mortgage offer says £180,000 not £170,000 not sure why it’s such an issue
  • finally valuation fee requested and paid.  anyone know how long they are taking to be carried out? TIA
We had ours the Monday and then had the mortgage offer on the Thursday the same week 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 Good luck

We paid our valuation in the 28th October and our valuation is booked for the 12th November. Good luck 🤞🏻
