@hereistohoping all insurers should.
Bluestone want to see proof their interest is noted, I used direct line and they emailed me proof which was acceptable to them.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

DiP done early in the year... possibly around May, can't remember exactly. We couldn't do full application until we knew 100% my partner was off the mortgage with his ex. No fault of Bluestone.
27th August - full application in
2nd Sept - more docs requested as month changed so needed updated bank statements
10th Sept - Valuation (new build)
22nd Sept - more docs requested, payslips. I had come off maternity end of August so they wanted an updated payslip. Also asked for another bank statement
24th Sept - offer through
20th October - moved in to new house
All went ahead as planned no issues with paying out, had to provide specific info for house insurance as Bluestone wanted to be names as an interested party and wanted to see the heading which their interest is noted under.. went through 2 insurance providers before i got what they needed.
My solicitor and MA had used them before and knew how they worked which i think really helped it along. We went through TFC though my MA (local company with broker fee much less than simply!!!)
Good luck all hope it all works out for you as well as it did for us
home insurance from? If bluestone want to be added as an interested party to ours I just want to be ready with a company who comply with their request rather than stressing out trying to find one
I went with esure who sent me everything I needed instantly. I had paid more than first, however they could not provide me any policy docs until 10 days after I had sorted it with them which was just far too late. If you exchange in enough time to get it sorted out or are willing to pay before you have that confirmation they'll be fine but we exchanged less than 10 days before completion. They provided a letter stating Bluestone were an interested party however this wasn't enough for Bluestone they needed to know exactly which section or heading in the policy docs they were named in.
I was close to breakdown by this point so thought it would be useful for others to know!0 -

can I ask what you mean please, regarding the house and insurance and BS wanting to be an interested party?
is this normal procedure for everyone applicant?
many thanks0 -
@Joleen23 all lenders ask to be noted as an interested party on the buildings insurance, after all the property / land is what they secure the mortgage on. It just means Bluestone are noted as having an interest in the building if anything happened.
It's normal with bluestone to want to see it, with me they wanted to see proof before releasing funds. I had buildings and contents insurance on the home I was buying, before contracts had been exchanged.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

Ive just had an update that my application will be back with the underwriters again tomorrow. They were waiting on an employee reference but my work said they havent had anything. So work sorted a letter for me today and its been uploaded and hopefully they will accept that now. They also said its a 10 day turnaround for documents being uploaded once requested.Looking to remortgage December 2022 onto a better rate!0
