We are waiting to exchange contracts, which was soposed to be done Tuesday but my solicitor has raised more enquires ... so completion on 20th isn't going to happen now... rather annoyed. Its like waiting for bluestone all over again! Our tenancy agreement runs out on 28th so getting rather stressed and worried.1

Think we've hit a record waiting time. Our DiP was completed at begining of August, a week after the actual mortgage application went in. Since then, Bluestone via Brightstar requested a few updated docs but nothing out of the ordinary. Now ( 3 and half months later) the sellers decided to put the house back on the market. We are a bag of nerves, naturally on edge now. My broker has pushed hard and apparently Bluestone have reviewed our case but just waiting for valuation report (valuation don on Fri 13th.. ha ha), hopefully next week will be revealing. My broker has pre-empted up to date statements as so much time has passed, already prepped and sent. This waiting is so frustrating, I just hope we don't lose the house and that Bluestone turn this around quickly. Broker advised they would not waste time on our case if it were a closed case. We have adverse but no CCJs or Bankruptcy, a fair few missed payments resulting in defaults but these were at least 2 years ago, I'm a contractor which doesn't make things easy. Good luck 👍 all.0

Hi, been following this thread as we have been given a DIP from bluestone via brightstar in August. But now it has come to submitting application and answering their questions its becoming more stressful for us. Is it possible to look at another MA and see about getting a different one from another lender ? I have seen a few mentioned on here?~ Looking for the light at the end of the tunnel ~0

Bit of advice I would give would be keep on top of you MA or solicitors case . Also as soon as you get your offer ensure you get every bit of evidence or paper work what’s your the special requirements on it and send it to your solicitor straight away. I done this and it did make things a lot quicker (it would of been quicker but my solicitor lost a piece of paper work which meant waiting a an extra week, but we have finally exchanged and we complete next week . Exchanging and completing. Can happen quite near to each other , if you have a good solicitor then should push for exchange and completion on same day to help out2

I’ve never heard of Bluestones, reading this has given me hope as my mortgage was rejected in principle due to 6 months credit history. Do you go direct or through a broker?
