  • Really positive to hear all the positive outcome stories. We had our DiP back on 12th Aug, put in the application a week after. My broker is keeping me up to date with respect to any updates possible but the updates are really slow. We're on week 9 now, just heard back yesterday where Bluestone are requesting a copy of my previous employment contract (I'm a contractor), its so painful and my application seems to be taking what feels like an age. We are applying to Bluestone via Brightstar (I know..). According to Bluestone criteria we'd be going in as applicants who are categorised as AAA. No CCJ's, but history of 4 defaults all dating back over at least 18 months, Experian score was 520 and 614 at the time of initial application for both me and the Mrs, however we have improved to 770 and 801 respectively (I know the score doesn't make a difference). Had a hard search on our credit file on 15th Sept but we seem to just be going back and forward. Anyone on here had a breakthrough with Bluestone via Brightstar. Oh we are seeking 50% LTV. Good luck to all.
We are going through Bluestone via Brightstar too although our broker has said if applications aren't in on time we could miss out on the months help to buy pot. We are FTB doing HTB scheme. The developers are absolute a*holes and have said as we're having to use bluestone they aren't prepared for the waiting times as apparently 12-14 weeks despite bluestone and brightstar confirming it wouldn't as long as all documents are sent correctly. Due to it they cancelled our reservation for the plot and have put it back on the market today on the basis we still submit our application and if accepted into November's HTB pot we can have the reservation back. All bloody backwards and highly stressful!!!!

They have asked for a second valuation (which they are paying for) to confirm the price, due to the amount we are borrowing apparently they need to have two parties confirm the price.  Just wish I had known in advance as the last I heard was that an offer would be through this week.  The vendor of the property isn't very happy!

Try not to worry! I know thats easier said than done. Formalities hey! You will get there, perhaphs they have to do this on 1 in 10 apps?? Just in case they get audited. !!!!!! i know, but a requirement.
