  • Hi all,
We got our DIP 2 weeks ago and the full application was sent off last week.
My husband had an IVA which was discharged 3 years ago, a CCJ which falls off his credit report in Jan. I have poor credit due to missed payments/defaults over a year ago.
Feeling very nervous. We are buying the place we are renting, so if we don't get the mortgage offer we will have to look at moving into another rented property. Been very unlucky with 3 landlords selling with 2 years, so desperate to stay put!
Good luck with it, we all seem to be at the same stage ... so fingers crossed for us all atm! have you had your hard searches done?
We have one from blustone as a Mortgage quotation but dont think that the hard search
its should say that it 'Can' impact your credit score - if it does then its a hard search
I'm using credit club and cant see where it sayd that.

Just had a load of questions fom Bluestone, they have gone through our bank statements with a fine tooth coomb, asking about £25 payment to my mate for a train ticket etc. Not sure if it's good news or not. What do I say about why i missed payments, the reality is I got myself in a muddle with money??
oh wow thats a good sign I think, at least they are looking at it! just been honest, tell them you've learnt from your mistakes and it wont happen again.  tell them how the mortgage will benefit your financial situation!
Looking to remortgage December 2022 onto a better rate!

Just tell them what happened, why it happened and what you have done to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    Mortgage quotation is soft search.

    First mortgage is hard search.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Does anyone know if it’s just the 1 hard search that bluestone carry out? Or can it be several times they do it? Many thanks 🙂
  • Im completing in a week and haven't had a hard search yet
  • I have not had any searches at all and I am about to exchange
  • I only had the one, they seem to be a little slow at updating the CRA at the moment as my recorded outstanding balance is a lot more than my actual outstanding balance.

  • Searches are immediate. Account updates are dependant on the account provider.
  • Omg the waiting is driving me crazy! Still no news today...
