After 10 long weeks!! I’m so excited to say valuation has been booked!
So hoping that will be quick and we will have a offer 🤞🏼
Did anyone have the underwriters ask for more documents after valuation?
To be honest don’t know what else they could ask for!

Looking to remortgage December 2022 onto a better rate!
  • Bluestone gave our MA a reduced "illustration" yeserday based on affordability because they didnt take into account that one £200 Direct debit has now stopped. just waiting to hear if they up it again. Nerve racking times

  • Hi,
if you get emailed a mortgage illustration from bluestone with monthly payments etc on it before an offer has been made is this a good sign? Is this just standard procedure?
    Thanks in advance.
  • Wife and I applied through a MA at the beginning of September, lots of documents later we got a DIP on 19th Sept from Bluestone via the packager. The valuation was undertaken yesterday and I was starting to feel less anxious about the entire process....Until, got an email last night from MA to say packager had been in touch and we were now failing affordability due to credit card balances. Once we had DIP we used cards to pay for some of the one off fees with solicitor and some upgrades we were wanting with builder. We had planned on then paying these off over the next few months as house isn't going to be ready until Feb. MA says she will deal with it but now feeling even more stressed and nervous as had been thinking the end was in sight and now it appears to be further away than before. Told MA that if needs be Bank of Mam and Dad will pay off enough CC balance to take us back to being affordable but don't know if that will make any difference....
  • Try not to worry and trust ur MA. Maybe they are including the monthly payment and not realising that the balances will be 0 on completion. They may just need confirmation of this. Keep us posted.
